Kendrick Lamar Trolled After Showing Off His Fake Air Jordans

On what fans believed to be his burner social media account, the ‘Mr. Morale And The Big Steppers’ rapper shares snaps and clips of him shopping for the black and red sneakers.

AceShowbizKendrick Lamar has been trolled over his fake Air Jordans. The “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers” rapper became the butt of the jokes online after he showed off, via what fans believed to be his burner social media account, a pair of shoes that he just bought.

On Friday, June 16, the 36-year-old let out a series of photos and videos of his new sneakers on Instagram account @jojoruski. The snap and clips were later reposted by 2cool2bl0g on its Instagram account, and many suggested that the footwear was fake. One in particular commented, “My boy logo doing the electric slide [two laughing emojis].”

Another poked fun at the design of the shoes, “This man got the Deadpool 4’s.” Similarly, a third commented, “The Strong Metal Is Wild.” A fourth, in the meantime, made a reference to Shaquille O’Neal‘s shoe brand, “My n***a in the Santee Alley Shaq 12’s.” Meanwhile, a fifth proposed, “He going to get a good 5 hours use out of those.”

In the comments section of his own post, Kendrick was also met with jests. Producer Cardo simply wrote, “I’m cryan’,” while rapper Skillz commented, “YOOOOOOU A WILLLLLLD BOY,” and added a slew of laughing emojis. Another producer, BNYX, recounted his childhood memory as sharing, “They used to clown me in school for wearing these. They just wasn’t on the s**t I was on.”

Kendrick’s alleged post itself portrayed him shopping for a pair of black and red Air Jordans shoes in a local store. One picture showed him posing for a selfie in front of a huge mirror while trying on the footwear, whereas one video captured him walking in the streets of New York City while wearing the new shoes. In the caption of the post, he wrote, “How im coming for my bday [hush emoji].”

A few months before his alleged burner account was found, Kendrick talked about staying away from social media. “My social media, most of the time, is completely off. Because I know, like … I can easily smell my own s**t,” he got candid with the New York Times back in December 2022. “I know … Like, I’m not one of those dudes that be like, ‘Oh, yeah, I know how good I am.’ “

“But I also know the reason why I’m so good is because God’s blessed me with the talent to execute on the talent, and the moment that you start getting lost in your ego, that’s when you start going down,” he went on to elaborate.
