Kerry Katona receives oxygen after ‘chronic pain’ but asks fans not to panic
Kerry Katona has posted a video of herself to Instagram, wearing an oxygen mask, but she urged her fans not to panic.
The 42 year old mum of five could be seen wearing a sports top and the oxygen mask, with her blonde hair tied up in a messy bun, as her breathing could be heard on the clip.
While it all looked quite serious, Kerry was actually in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, to help with her scoliosis, which is is the abnormal twisting and curvature of the spine.
In the post's caption, Kerry wrote: "DONT WORRY I’m in safe hands with @doctor.andrebd in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber!!! so I have recently been diagnosed with scoliosis and I’m here for some help on the pain!!"
Her followers were quick to comment on the post, as they wished Kerry a speedy recovery.
One wrote: "Bless you ……that explains your extreme pain you’ve been getting, I hope it works for you Kerry….. I’m so sad for you x."
Another commented: "Oh no bless you. You need to find a Pilates class x," as a third said: "Best of luck with it all glad your getting help for the pain . Relax."
A fourth wrote: "Hope you are OK sweetheart x sending lots of love xx," and a fifth said: "Bless you Kerry hope it really helps you get sorted x".
In her weekly OK! column, Kerry recently opened up about a mystery pain in her hips and back.
Speaking to us from her bedroom, Kerry explained: "I’m in a bad way this week with my hips and my back, I’m in so much pain that I have essentially been bed bound. My hips have been out of place for a long time and now it has got to the point where the pain is making me feel physically sick. I literally can’t do anything and I had to pull my weekend tour. I couldn’t go ahead with it and felt terrible."
Kerry's No Regrets tour marked a huge career development for the star as she planned her stage comeback with what she called a "very special and personal tour" this summer, however, due to her pain, she has been forced to delay it.
Continuing to explain, she said, "I’m a very active person and I’m always on the go but it’s like my hip joints are rubbing and it’s affecting my whole back. I’ve been so close to going to A&E but I don’t want to be a burden or waste anyone’s time."
