AceShowbiz –Khloe Kardashian fell victim to online trolls after she shared a bizarre Instagram ad. In the new ad, the 38-year-old reality TV star was seen promoting a reflex boxing ball called the Boxbollen and that prompted fans to clown her.
The video saw the Good American founder, who was joined by her pal Malika Haqq, playing with the ball while wearing a black workout set with black-and-white Nike Jordan sneakers. “Boxbollen is absolutely the best. It’s so much fun,” she said. “You don’t want to miss out. This is a holiday must-have.”
In the caption, Khloe wrote, “I had SO MUCH fun playing @boxbollen! It’s a holiday must have for all ages. Order it now at Boxbollen.com or check them at @boxbollen. #AD.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments section as they wondered why Khloe, whose net worth is reportedly around $60 million, accepted the ad in the first place. “Is Khloe hurting for money? What’s with all the ads?” one troll asked. “i cant with this ad i know they payin good,” someone else added.
A third commenter said, “Damn don’t you guys make enough money, more people to spend money on useless items that bring no value to there [sic] life,” while a fourth joked, “She’s lying, she just wanted the check.” Another said, “And she never played box bollen again.”
Khloe wasn’t the only Kardashian star who was trolled for a cringey brand deal. Earlier this month, Khloe’s sister Kim Kardashian was roasted for pretending to fake a bite in a Beyond Meat ad. “They’re literally so good,” the SKIMS founder captioned a video, which saw her putting a tray of “quick and easy” but “healthy and delicious” vegan chicken nuggets into an air fryer.
“She didn’t even take a bite of the burger,” one observer commented on the company’s Instagram page. Someone else noted, “The hamburger wasn’t bitten,” with another saying, “I ain’t buying it cause you ain’t really eating it.”
Blasting the vegan company, one person said, “You didn’t show her actually consuming the product…Did she actually eat it?” A separate person opined that the ad actually made them not want to purchase the product, “Fake eating. This is beyoooond meat, so good you don’t even have to eat it.” Another chimed in, “Kim didn’t even eat the food lol [laughing with tears emojis].”
