Kylie Minogue turns heads in daring sheer dress after confirming career news

Kylie Minogue made a jaw-dropping appearance after confirming that she will be taking on a Las Vegas residency, marking a major career milestone for the Australian singer.

Shortly after announcing the news on social media, the 55-year-old joined The Venetian Resort CCO Michael Gruber at the Las Vegas establishment in a sheer dress ruched around her toned physique and maintaining her modesty with perfectly placed strips of black fabric.

She flaunted her curves in the tight gown and let her golden tresses fall loose over her shoulders.

The Padam Padam singer accessorised the look with just three slim silver bracelets and some strappy black sandals as she flashed a mile-wide grin.

At the lavish event, Kylie told Hello! Magazine that the timing for her residency had been perfect as she feared undertaking such a major string of performances would have been too much for her in her early career.

She added “If I’d done it too much later I’d regret it being too much later.

“Right now, in my life, in my career, it feels like the perfect point, the perfect moment where, I’ve got the catalogue, I’ve got the history, but I’ve also got the drive and the ambition to go so much further.”

Kylie had been stirring her fanbase into a frenzy all week with hints about the Las Vegas residency and formally confirmed the news on Twitter declaring: “VEGAS BABY!”

The pop sensation will be headlining her shows at the new Voltaire venue at The Venetian and teased her fans yet again as she signed off with the hashtag #MoreThanJustAResidency.

Her first-ever US residency is set to start on November 3, which will also serve as Voltaire’s opening night.

Fans were overwhelmed by the news, with countless followers simply commenting “PADAM” in homage to her latest hit release.

One fan added: “Congratulations Kylie, how awesome. Vegas won’t know what’s hit it.”

Another declared it was the “best worst kept secret of all time”.

On Instagram, Kylie’s 2.6 million followers were thrilled with the update as many confirmed they would be going despite tickets not even being on sale yet.

One eager follower gushed: “This is the moment I send my ‘I will be working remotely from Vegas’ email to my boss. Done and done!”
