Lady Victoria Hervey claims Princess Beatrice ‘thanked her for the support for her father’
Prince Andrew’s exLady Victoria Hervey claimsPrincess Beatrice thanked her for trying to clear her father’s name, according to reports.
Lady Victoria, 46, who dated the lateQueen’s second son briefly in 1999, appeared on ITV'sLorraine last month – when she shared her belief that the infamous photo of the disgraced Duke of York standing next to Virginia Giuffre wasfake.
Ms Giuffre, 38, claimed she was forced into sex at 17 with Andrew, 62, by the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, the media heiress who is serving20 years behind bars for sex-trafficking girls for Epstein.
Andrew denied the allegations against him and latercame to an out of court settlement, reportedly worth £12 million, with Ms Giuffre. The settlement is not an admission of guilt.
However, recently it has been reported that the Duke isgearing up to launch a £10million legal case in a bid to overturn his multi-million pound settlement. Sources say Andrew wants to prove his innocence in court after being "pressured into settling".
And it has been reported that Lady Victoria claims she was approached by Andrew’s daughter Princess Beatrice, ninth in line to the throne, at the recent Lady Garden Gala.
According toMailOnline, Lady Victoria said: "I saw Princess Beatrice… and she said, ''Thank you for all your support for my father and for all the work you've been doing'."
OK! has contacted Buckingham Palace for a comment on the claim.
Andrew stepped back from public life in 2019 following the fallout from hisBBC interview over his connections to Epstein.
The Queen also stripped the Duke of his military affiliations and patronages in the wake of sexual assault allegations made against him by Ms Giuffre.
Lady Victoria, speaking to Lorraine Kelly, 63, on her show, said: "The picture is the only thing that Virginia has been using against him, trying to prove that they were together.
"But it's not him, if you look at that picture behind – so I've actually been in this house."
Lady Victoria then explained that she took a photo standing in the same spot, with the same furniture, but the scale looked "totally different".
She said: "And I've stood exactly where they're standing with the same furniture behind. There's the chest on the right hand side, I don't know if you have a picture of that that you can show us…"
Lorraine then argued: "But things can change in a house."
"The scale is completely different," Lady Victoria said. "No, actually, the picture I have – it's completely the same as what this is, with the same chest. And the scale is totally different."
Recently, in an interview given from prison,Ghislaine Maxwell also claimed the well-known image of Andrew with his arm around Ms Giuffre was fake.
