MAFS porn star Hayley Vernon calls out cringeworthy American term that has infiltrated the Australian vernacular: ‘Why do you call it that?’

Married At First Sight’s Hayley Vernon has complained about Australians using the word ‘candy’ – an American term for lollies.

The porn star, 32, went on a rant on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon after hearing several people refer to ‘Halloween candy’ while trick-or-treating.

‘What the f**k are you all calling lollies and bars of chocolate “candy”?’ she wrote.

‘I’m dying at the sheep complex on most people copying and paraphrasing American terms,’ she added.

Hayley noted that no ordinary Australian uses ‘candy’ in general conversation.

‘Sure so what your telling me is that you send your husband to the shops to “pick up some candy”? Get f**ked,’ she said.

It comes after Hayley spoke candidly about her life as a high-class escort during a Q&A on Instagram last week.

A fan asked ‘how many clients do you see per week?’ and she replied that escorting isn’t a regular gig for her, but something she does when ‘on tour’.

The Gold Coast resident said: ‘I see clients when I’m on tour or travelling. When I’m home, my OF [OnlyFans] is my primary business.’

She said she does make exceptions for special events taking place in Queensland.

‘The Indy is up here this week, so I’ll work. I have the ability to pick and choose, when and [with] whom,’ she wrote.

Hayley recently claimed several stars from the upcoming season of Married At First Sight were already starting OnlyFans accounts.

The adult entertainer, who rose to fame on the seventh season of the Channel Nine show in 2020, said a handful of them had even sought her advice.

‘It’s funny because now I’ve got cast on the new season messaging me for advice and they’re all filming up the street from my hotel,’ she told Yahoo.

Hayley said the advice she was giving was mostly around ‘how to handle media and paparazzi, but two are doing OnlyFans and were asking about that’.

She added: ‘One even joked about filming a scene with me to post when their wedding airs to get more subscribers.

‘They’re a lot smarter than [the cast on my season] were and are getting things ready to launch as soon as they get on television.’
