Leona Lewis enjoys sweet family day out with mum and new baby daughter Carmel

Leona Lewis has been seen for the first time in public since she announced the birth of her first child with husband Dennis Jauch earlier this month.

The X Factor starwelcomed baby girl Carmel Allegra into the world on July 22 and has since been busy adapting to her life as a new mum.

And it’s clear that Leona is head over heels for her little one after the 37 year old was pictured smiling from ear to ear as she took one month old Carmel out for a stroll in Los Angeles,where the singer lives with her choreographer husband.

For the outing, the star was joined by her mother Marie as the three generations headed to a coffee shop before making the most of the sunny weather and spending some time in a local park.

Leona looked chic for the occasion and opted for a blush pink floral jumpsuit and a pair of stylish white trainers.

The Bleeding Love songstress also wore her curly brunette locks in a messy bun and finished off the casual look with a pair of round sunglasses.

Meanwhile mum Marie cut an equally trendy figure as she wore a black maxi dress, pink and orange bucket hat and rounded off the look with a pair of hoop earrings.

As Leona and Marie enjoyed their drinks, the pair could be seen gushing over little Carmel and doting mum Leona was spotted entertaining the tot by making a series of silly faces.

As she protected her newborn from the sun, Leona gave a glimpse of her little one who was seen wearing a white baby grow and a neutral coloured headscarf.

The pictures come after the Happy singeropened about her first month of being a mother on Instagram.

The doting mum shared a snap of her newborn wrapped in a baby carrier and wrote: “A month with you my love.”

The star also posted a picture of her daughter's hand latching onto her finger, as well as one of her sleeping in her baby bed.

Leona’s 744,000 followers were quick to congratulate the star on motherhood, with one person writing: “Congratulations beautiful lady. Much love to you all. You deserve every happiness.”

Another agreed and added: “Awwww my heart is gushing here! Precious moments of mother & daughter.”

Leona and Dennis, who tied the knot in 2019 after first meeting in 2010, announced the news of Carmel’s arrival on Instagram at the beginning of this month, where they shared a sweet snap of their new family of three.

“And then there were three,” Leona wrote, before revealing her newborn baby's name and adding: "Our little Carmel Allegra arrived 22.7.22.,” alongside a pink heart emoji.
