Lil Uzi Vert Faces Backlash Over Satanic Magazine Cover

AceShowbizLil Uzi Vert has reacted to criticism over his new cover for 032c Magazine. The rapper was hit with Satanism allegations following his recent bloody photo shoot.

In the picture, the rapper poses with an upside-down cross painted on his forehead and blood coming out of his nostrils. The criticism was almost immediate with one comment saying, “Again with this satanic bullsht.”

“Yah love slapping us in the face with this satanic symbolism,” someone else noted. “Uzi gotta act Satanic for fame is so sad gang lmaoooo boy went out horrible,” another commenter wrote, while a fan asked him to “stop.”

This isn’t the first time for Uzi to get accused of Satanism. He previously performed a song with lyrics referencing Satan during his Rolling Loud California set. In the song, he raps the line, “I make a City Girl believe in Satan.”

The backlash didn’t go unnoticed by him. In his response, Uzi denied the allegation. “Not actually Satan, but just basically… I make a girl do whatever I say so,” the Philly star explained. “[JT] really didn’t think too much of it. She was there when she heard me make the song. She know what I really mean.”

The reporter then asked Uzi how they felt about the criticism that they received as a result. “I really don’t even pay attention to them even saying that because I just say whatever I want in my songs. It’s just, like, my freedom of speech. I come from a real religious household… I don’t mean to offend people, but, you know, if they don’t like it, they have the option to turn it off,” he divulged.
While the title of the song is yet to be revealed, Uzi did confirm that it will appear on their long-awaited album “The Pink Tape”, a project that was first announced back in 2020.
