Love Island star’s girlfriend pregnancy reveal

Former Love Island star Biggs Chris has posted a touching Instagram video to announce that he is going to be a father for the first time.

The 27-year-old, who appeared in season six of the show in 2020, revealed his girlfriend of almost two years, Sumerica, is expecting.

He shared the news in a sweet compilation video that opened with Sumerica, in a clip using a black and white filter, breaking down in tears as she stared at her positive pregnancy test.

It then cut to a clip in the couple’s living room after she set up a camera in the corner.

She left the pregnancy test wrapped up on the coffee table for Biggs to find and he looked stunned as he discovered it.

It took him a moment to compose himself before he asked his girlfriend: “Are you f*****g joking?” to which she replied: “No.”

He then said: “You talk s**t,” as she walked forward and pointed at the test and said: “I promise you. Look.” They then shared a tender hug and a kiss as the happy news sank in.

In the next clip, the pair appeared to be on holiday as they were seen in the sea pushing a heart-shaped tray toward the camera, which contained their scan snaps.

Finally, Sumerica could be seen getting her first ultrasound scan at the hospital, with the joy clear to see on her face.

Biggs captioned the touching video: “We’ve been keeping our little Blessing a secret.”

The first Love Islander to offer their congratulations was Luke Mabbott, who is engaged to Lucie Donlan, after meeting her on the show.

He wrote: “Me and lucie are so happy for you guys your going to be amazing parents!!.” (sic)

Biggs replied to his comment, saying: “@lukemabbott love bro thank you.” (sic)

Another ex-Love Islander, Demi Jones wrote: “OMG!! Biggest congratulations!!”

Meanwhile Tyler Cruickshank, who appeared on season seven of the show, commented: “Congrats my brother!”

Biggs only lasted three episodes on Love Island entering the Villa on day 23 and being eliminated on day 26 for failing to couple up.

However, after the show he began a relationship with Rebecca Gormley who had been given the boot from the villa in week five of the show.

The pair were together for 19 months before announcing their separation on Instagram in August 2021.

Biggs is believed to have begun dating Sumerica not long after the split.
