Love Island’s Adam Collard slams rumours he ‘doesn’t like Ekin-Su’
Love Island star Adam Collard has denied rumours he “doesn’t like Ekin-Su” and insists moments between them were left out in the villa.
Adam, 26, found love in the Love Island villa with paramedic Paige Thorne, 24, with the couplerecently making their relationship official .
The star took to Instagram in a recent Q&A and gave more insight into the show behind the scenes and insisted that he and Ekin-Su, 27, spent plenty of time in the gym together in the villa and got along well.
He also gushed about the Love Island winners, saying he “loved” her and Davide Sanclimenti, 28.
In this year’s series, Adam was seen joking around with the boys and suggested Ekin-Su was “punching” with Davide.
However, Adam has insisted that the clip shown on TV was not the full story.
In an Instagram Q&A, he addressed rumours he has any negative feelings towards Ekin-Su when a fan suggested: “You said Ekin was punching with Davide but you like all her pictures.”
"I am going to start with this one because it does my head in," he responded, relaxing in the car in a grey hoodie and baseball cap.
"I absolutely love them two – and if you saw all the gym sessions where I was third wheeling, where it was me, Davide and Ekin-Su – because she trains pretty damn hard – we had the best time.
"Obviously in that scene, yes I did say it – but you didn't see the full scene. It was just boys being boys trying to wind the girls up.
"I love them to bits and they know that. They are amazing."
Adam was a late bombshell to the show, having previously appeared on Love Island in 2018, and quickly struck up a relationship with Paige.
The couple recently revealed they've taken things to the next level by making their relationship "official".
In an interview with Jodie McCallum for On Demand Entertainment, the Geordie hunk explained he wanted to ask Paige off camera so that she knew “everything was real".
“We got left for a night and it was the only time where we actually got to sit on the sofa, it was just us for the first time, and I was like ‘right I need to ask you now, because it’s not for anyone else’s benefit apart from mine and yours," he said. "Like I do really want you to be my girlfriend.’ I didn’t even ask her- I actually just told her!”
Paige laughed, admitting that she didn’t really have any choice, “No he just told me!”
“I just said ‘wait, so this is a thing now, please!” joked Adam.
