Vicky Pattison in 'no rush' to wed Ercan Ramadan after dreamy proposal

Vicky Pattison and fiancé Ercan Ramadan got engaged in February in a dreamy Dubai proposal, but the lovebirds are in no hurry to walk down the aisle.

The Geordie Shore icon, 34, met Ercan through mutual friends and the couple started dating in 2019.

Vicky has been smitten ever since, recently describing her husband-to-be as a ‘really lovely man’ who is ‘very kind’ and ‘brings me loads of confidence’.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk about her wedding plans, the former reality star admitted she’s made the ‘mistake’ in the past of rushing into things, and she just wants to enjoy living in the moment for now.

‘We haven’t started [planning] yet. When we first got engaged, I wanted to get married next year then start having kids. It was almost like I was on fast forward and I don’t know why because I’ve realised that’s been my mistake a number of times in the past, rushing into things, and not stopping smell the roses,’ she said.

‘We’ve taken our foot off the gas and I’ve decided to freeze my eggs, well, embryos. That takes some of the pressure off my ticking biological body clock and means we’re not in such a rush with wedding planning as well.’

Vicky has been very open about her egg-freezing journey in a bid to raise awareness and offer advice and reassurance for other women.

She’s ‘desperate’ to become a mother ‘at some point’ but has admitted that her relationship ‘probably isn’t ready to have kids’.

In the meantime, they’re just enjoying each other’s company and looking forward to a wedding ‘somewhere abroad’ when the time comes.

‘There’s obviously a Covid backlog still, so I think we’ll wait until it calms down a bit then we’ll see. But we’re definitely thinking somewhere abroad and definitely not just wanting one day. I want a couple of days and a big family affair. No solid plans yet but that’s where my head is at’, she shared.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star has plenty to keep her busy until she does take on bride duties, having recently moved into her dream home with the help of TaskRabbit.

She revealed that the ‘hardest part’ of buying her own property was practising patience and ‘waiting for it all to be done’, but finally getting the keys, moving in and having the ‘dream become reality’ felt amazing.

‘Learning to exercise a bit of patience probably wouldn’t be the worst thing for me!’, she joked.

‘I’m so happy here. I love our neighbours, well, most of them. We love the area. Dog walks for Milo! We are slowly but surely getting there. I underestimated it as a process, thinking we’d have it done in six months but we’ve been here a year and it is still an ongoing process, but that’s part and parcel of it and I have to definitely manage my expectations. But we’re loving it!’
