Love Island’s Claudia pens heartwarming tribute to pal Samie on girls’ holiday
Former Love Island star Claudia Fogarty has gushed over her friend and fellow Islander Samie Elishi in a heartwarming tribute.
The pals recently enjoyed a girls' holiday together and the blonde beauty, 28, wanted to share her admiration for her new bestie, who she met in the Love Island villa for the first time just five months ago.
Taking to her Instagram story, she penned: "I can't believe we have only known each other for five months and it feels like you've been in my life forever.
"It just shows it's not about how long you've known someone but how that person impacts your life.
"Here's to many, many more holidays together. @samieelishi you've got me for life."
Her touching message was accompanied by a snap of the girls on holiday with Claudia sporting a stylish gold silk dress with matching heels.
Meanwhile, Sami, 22, showed off her toned legs in a one piece black midi dress.
The pair have just returned from a Virgin Cruise from Barcelona, stopping off in Marseille, Cannes, Mallorca, and Ibiza before docking back in the Catalonian capital.
Prior to their adventures, some fans had been speculating that Tom Clare and Samie were back together after being spotted together in Marbella.
The pair came third in the winter series of Love Island in early 2023 before calling it quits just a few weeks after leaving the villa.
Samie opened up on her break-up from Tom amid a difficult video that saw the star also address her recent health issues.
"Let's just address the elephant in the room and everywhere – me and Tom have broken up. It's ended on good terms. No one's done anything bad to each other, there's still lots and lots of love there," she said from her car at the time.
"It just wasn't working on the outside [of the Love Island villa] and we both agreed on the majority of the things – there's no bad blood there. Me and Tom, I've never said a bad word about him and he would never say a bad word about me. That is basically it, it's not an exciting story."
The star then added: "There's nothing more to it, we just weren't working outside the villa. I feel like when you come out, you've got so much pressure and so many other things to worry about and that plays a huge factor in a relationship and yeah, it was just a lot more difficult to maintain outside the villa and that was it, really."
Following their breakup, Tom took a trip to Ibiza with fellow Love Island co-star Casey O'Gorman, where he was photographed engaging in toe-sucking antics with an unidentified woman.
As a result, Samie decided to unfollow her ex on Instagram, indicating that their relationship and friendship had hit a rough patch despite initially parting ways on amicable terms.
