Love Island’s Danica says producers called Billy ‘out of order’ and stopped her from quitting

Love Island star Danica Taylor has revealed how close she came to quitting the villa – before producers stepped in and begged her to stay.

The 21 year old endured a lot of heartbreak before coupling up with Jamie Allen and speaking exclusively to OK!, Danica revealed that she nearly left the show after her explosive row with Billy Brown.

The row saw Danica lay into Billy, calling him a "pig" for rejecting her in the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge after their steamy night together and his decision to tell the boys what had happened underneath the sheets.

Prior to their argument the pair had been getting closer, though Billy later confessed he didn't feel "a click" with the dancer, leaving Danica in tears.

Addressing what happened after the row, Danica told us: "The producers helped me a lot and calmed me down. I went to the beach hut and I was streaming with tears. I was like, ‘I just want to go now. I can’t do this anymore. Get me out of here. I feel violated and disrespected.’

“And they said, ‘We completely get it, it’s so out of order of him.’ They understood where I was coming from, but also said, ‘You’re so amazing, don’t let what he’s done or anyone else in here make you feel otherwise.’

“It was one of those things where I calmed down and realised it doesn’t define me as a woman, just because a couple of guys in there weren’t interested in that way. Again, it’s their loss.”

Danica also detailed how the Billy situation influenced her initial reaction to the arrival of 27 year old Jamie.

She said: “I felt like I wasn’t being frosty, but I think it was because I’d been hurt so many times.

“Two boys came in, I’m the only single girl and I was thinking, ‘Hmm, you look like a heartbreaker.’"

Thankfully, things between Danica and Jamie went well, and they wasted no time in getting to no each other following his arrival.

The spark between Jamie and Danica was clear, and she chose the footballer in the next recoupling, before they were eventually voted out together.

The couple left the show just days before the final, and speaking to OK!, Danica and Jamie explained they're both delighted with how things are going so far.

Danica shared: “[Its going] good! It’s still early days, but we’re getting along just fine.”

Jamie agreed: “Each day it’s been stronger and stronger." The footballer added that his “highlight” was meeting Danica, as he added: “Everything happens for a reason!”
