Love Islands Olivia will have a rough ride, she’ll lean on Maxwell but they won’t last
Another week has flown by in the Love Island villa – and there's been even more drama!
In her exclusive Love Island column, Danica Taylor gives her verdict on the latest villa going-ons, from Jessie Wynter being confronted en masse to Olivia Hawkins' exit.
As two more Islanders face being dumped just days before the final, Danica also reveals the bombshell she'd love to have seen more of.

'The Jessie confrontation was bizarre – everyone was gunning for her!’
I can see where some of the Islanders were coming from as the Jessie situation unfolded because – let’s be honest! – lots of people have questioned whether she’s been genuine in the villa.
This series has really felt like Girls vs Boys a lot of the time and Jessie has been a real girls’ girl and backed the other ladies up. She’s stood up for every single one of them and sometimes that has come across as sticking her nose in, but she’s not ‘fake’.
The way the confrontation played out was bizarre. I feel like they started out by questioning her behaviour but it wasn’t fair to then start questioning her character. It really felt like everyone was gunning for her.
One good thing to come out of it has been her and Will seem even stronger and their dynamic is really sweet. It’s tough in the villa at the best of times, especially when people aren’t being particularly nice to you.
The way Will had her back was really nice to see. He has strong a level of respect for her and even though we knows he’s besotted, it makes it even clearer that he is being genuine.
‘Olivia and Maxwell won’t last’
I think Olivia and Maxwell will last as long as me and Jamie did… so I’m giving it a matter of weeks!
Now that Olivia’s out of the villa, she could be in for a rough ride and she’ll be crossing paths with other Islanders, who she has perhaps annoyed, at events. I think she’ll lean on Maxwell in those situations but realistically, she was never really that interested in him – he was just convenient for her during Casa Amor. If they do make it work, I’ll gladly eat my words! But I really can’t see it happening.
Hats off to Olivia though, she has provided the entertainment but I do worry that her big role in the drama will make things difficult post-show. She has taken a lot of heat online and now her exit has aired, she’ll have been given her phone back and seen all of the posts from viewers. However you feel, she’s a human being at the end of the day and she’s going to need a lot of support around her.
‘I wish Keanan had arrived earlier!’
He gives off Casa Amor energy! He seems really nice and I think without all of the boys there, he definitely could have turned heads and swept one of the girls off their feet. If Claudia wasn’t so fixated on Caset, then maybe she could have given him a chance. I definitely think he could have been her type.
Bless him though, he may not have been lucky in love but he’s been such a trouper and a gentleman. He’s making the most of his time on the show and enjoying himself. You can’t ask for much more than that!
