PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Maisie Smith sizzles in a TINY black mini-dress as she films scenes for new gangster movie The Bermondsey Tales

Maisie Smith looked incredible as she was spotted on the set of her new gangster film The Bermondsey Tales in South London. 

The former EastEnders actress, 21, slipped into a skin-tight black mini-dress for the funeral scenes, marking her first her first major movie role since leaving the BBC soap in 2021. 

Maisie’s plunging frock hugged every inch of her gorgeous figure and perfectly showcased her long toned legs.

The actress’ costume also featured an oversized leather motorcycle jacket and towering platform heels. 

The stunner, who plays a ‘leading player in a mobster family’ in the movie, completed the look with a pair of quirky flower earrings and toted her essentials in a leather handbag.

Strut: The former EastEnders actress slipped into a skin-tight black mini-dress for the outdoor scenes

Maisie’s make-up featured a smokey eye and dark red lip and she styled her glossy auburn locks poker straight. 

Also on the set were co-stars Dapper Laughs and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels actor Alan Ford.

A source told the The Sun earlier this year: ‘It is an exciting new venture for Maisie and she can’t wait to dip her toe into a big new project’.

‘She plays Chloe, a leading player in a mobster family, and will be acting alongside Alan Ford from Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Kidulthood’s Adam Deacon.

‘Since Strictly and EastEnders she has kept her eyes open for her next on-screen job, and the people behind Bermondsey Tales thought Maisie was the perfect fit’.

Maisie starred in the BBC soap as Tiffany Baker from 2008 when she joined aged just seven, before leaving last year and has since toured with Strictly and in Strictly Ballroom: The Musical. 

It comes after her boyfriend Max George has opened up on his spur-of-the-moment ‘engagement’.

The Wanted singer, 34, left Maisie totally stunned back in April, when he publicly ‘proposed’ while filming ITV’s The Chase Celebrity Special.

And, in an upcoming clip from Thursday’s instalment of Iain Stirling’s CelebAbility, obtained exclusively by MailOnline, Max recalled almost proposing.

The pop star admitted he’s glad his proposal to actress Maisie wasn’t real, as he revealed her true off-camera reaction.

Max confessed that while his girlfriend feigned being excited and emotional at the sight of her partner getting down on one knee, in reality she was not impressed.

Iain said: ‘The last time you were on a game show, you proposed to your girlfriend Maisie. Why did you do that? I thought it was real. You were on The Chase?’

Max admitted: ‘Yeh, right… It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. And, it was a joke, so…’

Iain interrupted to sarcastically say: ‘Do you know what girlfriend’s love? When their partner proposes to them as a joke.’

Confidence: Maisie oozed confidence as she strutted her stuff down the street for the cameras

Max explained: ‘No but it was like one of them things where Brad [Bradly Walsh] has said: ”so when’s the big day?” and then everyone laughed.

‘And I said: ”well it’s funny you ask” and put my hand in my back pocket, like that, and Maisie went all sort of giddy.

‘Off camera she shook her head, like that [awkwardly], so I’m glad it wasn’t real,’ admitted the pop star.

Making fun of the incident, Iain joked: ‘It was like a meme online, which pauses at that moment and goes ”this is when Max realised he f**cked up”.’

It comes after Maisie insisted she has ‘proven’ her relationship with Max isn’t for the cameras as they move in together following a nine month romance.

The actress and the Wanted star have faced scrutiny for their 13-year age gap romance, but Maisie has insisted their relationship is for keeps.

The Strictly contestant recently moved in with her beau and revealed they have spent a month chilling in their new pad, as they enjoy some quality time together following hectic few months of work.

Speaking about the criticism of their relationship in a new interview, Maisie said: ‘When you’re in a new relationship, people have a lot to say. But we’ve been together a while now and we’ve proven our love isn’t just for the cameras.

‘We’re genuinely two best friends, in love and we’re so happy. We still get negative comments. 

‘Family and friends are so supportive and have never seen either of us so happy. I’ve never been in such a happy position.’
