After years of struggling with her health, reality star Mama June Shannon has opened up about the serious issues she faces.

The Mama June: Family Crisis star also revealed how her past issues with addiction mean that she has trouble finding doctors who will take her concerns seriously.

“I’m getting tired of having severe headaches and not being able to think… I’m getting tired of being dizzy and not being able to see straight.”

Addressing how her addiction issues are affecting her treatment she explained she is honest with Doctors.

“‘Hey, I’m recovering. I’ve been in recovery and been sober for three years,’ and that for them [The Doctors] throws up that judgmental card and they seem to be like, ‘Oh well you have to be honest about your symptoms.'”

However, the reality star hasn’t given up hope that she will get a diagnosis which will lead to treatment.

“We’re in the process of trying to find new doctors,” she revealed in an interview with The US Sun. “And we’ve got good doctors that we can go to but you can’t get into for six or seven months.”

Mama June’s Health struggles come as her daughter Anna Chickadee Caldwell battles cancer.

June’s eldest child was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January 2023.

After complaining about stomach aches she underwent a series of tests.

Her sisters Pumpkin, Alana, and Jessica, travel to and from Georgia to help with her care.

“It’s a lot of travelling back and forth. But it’s something that we knew we were gonna have to do being in two different states,” June told Distractive.

The family first came to public attention in 2012 when the youngest daughter Alana Thompson, going by the name Honey Boo Boo gained prominence on Toddlers and Tiaras.

She was so popular that the family then landed their own hit reality series on TLC titled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

The show ended in 2014 but the family have remained in the spotlight ever since.

In 2017 Mama June landed her own show Mama June: From Not To Hot.

The show documented her weight loss transformation as she attempted to go from 460 to 160lbs.

That ran until 2021 when it was retitled Mama June: Road To Redemption before being rebranded to its current incarnation of  Mama June: Family Crisis.
