She was spotted locking lips with fellow reality star Joey Essex backstage at the Pride Of Britain Awards on Monday.

And Maura Higgins is now reportedly planning her first date with the former TOWIE star after finding a spark at the event. 

The Love Islander, 31, is said to be ‘excited’ at the prospect of seeing him again and it has been claimed they have been messaging since the kiss to plan something.

A source told The Sun: ‘They’ve met before on the celebrity party circuit but Monday was the first time things have turned flirty.

‘They both fancy the pants off each other — it could be the start of something pretty special.

‘Maura’s really keen for a date with Joey and they’ve been messaging nonstop since.’

Representatives for Maura and Joey have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

It comes after on Tuesday, Maura broke her silence after enjoying a very passionate kiss with the TOWIE OG, 32, by licking pal Krystal Dawn’s face, and teasing: ‘It’s how I greet people!’ 

The Love Island star took to her Instagram Stories where she reposted a clip of the saucy tongue motion, first shared by her make-up artist, who’d written: ‘She’s a licker.’

The night before, Maura was seen leaning in for a passionate kiss with the former TOWIE favourite as they put on an amorous display at the glitzy Pride Of Britain event.

The two were seen getting close as they caught up at the Red Bar in London’s Grosvenor House, where the ceremony was taking place.

Cheeky! It comes after on Tuesday, Maura broke her silence after enjoying a very passionate kiss with the TOWIE OG, 32, by licking pal Krystal Dawn’s face, and teasing: ‘It’s how I greet people!’

An excited Maura could be seen smiling with her eyes closed as she leaned her head close to Joey’s, while Joey was also seen edging closer to the beauty. 

The pair were also seen sharing an intimate hug, with the Irish stunner resting her head on Joey’s shoulder. 

Maura and Joey looked very relaxed in each other’s company as they chatted together in the lobby area.

And it appeared that the two couldn’t stay away from each other as they went on to share a taxi before heading off along with other pals.

Maura looked every inch the belle of the ball in a flowing yellow tulle dress as she earlier posed on the red carpet.

She went braless in her halter neck dress, flashing a hint of sideboob thanks to sheer paneling on the sides. 

Meanwhile, Joey cut a dapper figure in a sharp black suit which he teamed with a burnt orange tie.

The kiss comes just weeks after Maura and Chris Hughes appeared put on a very cosy display as they left the star studded National Television Awards together earlier this month.

The single stars, who both found fame on separate seasons of Love Island, were spotted getting close as they walked arm-in-arm and engrossed in each other’s company. 

An onlooker told The Sun: ‘They were having a laugh and looked to be getting on really well’.

The pair then made their way to the a nearby hotel which was the venue for the ceremony’s swanky afterparty. 

The source went on to tell the publication: ‘Chris was explaining to Maura where it was [the party] and was gesturing as they walked out together’.’ 

It followed Maura’s split from Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice last October after a four-month romance.

The romance between the pair reportedly went sour after days of moving in together, with the Irish beauty said to be ‘absolutely devastated.’

Maura shot to fame on the dating show, entering the Villa as a bombshell where she tried to steal now BFF Molly-Mae Hague’s man Tommy Fury.

After this, the beauty coupled up with Curtis Pritchard following his split with Amy Hart on the show.

Chris and Maura made things official in 2020 before eventually splitting last year. 

Joey meanwhile was last linked to Maria Thattil after striking up a romance on the Australian version of I’m a Celebrity earlier this year.

During an episode in January, the genetically blessed pair jumped into bed together and enjoyed a steamy make-out session.

In the past he’s enjoyed romances with Brazialian model Brenda Santos, Amy Willerton and Sam Faiers.
