Meg, 60, made her acting debut in the drama film Rich and Famous in 1981.
She received widespread acclaim and her first Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the Rob Reiner-directed romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally (1989).
Meg memorably starred opposite Tom Hanks for both You’ve Got Mail (1998) and Sleepless and Seattle (1993).
The actress has been in some high profile relationships over the years with the likes of Russell Crowe and John Mellencamp.
She married fellow actor Dennis Quaid in 1991, but the pair divorced in 2001.
Dennis and Meg share one son, 30-year-old Jack Quaid, who is best known for his role as Hughie Campbell in Amazon Prime’s The Boys.
