Meghan Markle shares rare insight into parenthood and Archie and Lilibet’s bond

Meghan Markle is known for keeping her private life to herself – and that includes the lives of her two children too.

The Duchess of Sussex, 40, andPrince Harryare parents to three year oldArchieand one year old Lilibet and, after they moved to the US in 2020, they have been enjoying their privacy.

The family kept a relatively low profile during theQueen's Platinum Jubileeweekend, opting to spend their time under the radar as non-working members of theRoyal family.

However, Meghan previously opened up to palEllen DeGenereswhen sheappeared on her showand told the host about the sweet bond her two youngest share.

The Duchess appeared on the show in November last year and answered Ellen’s question about whether Archie likes being a big brother.

She said: “He loves being a big brother.

“Someone told H [Harry] and I that when you have one kid it's a hobby, and two children is parenting. Suddenly we realised, oh right, everyone talks about what it's like for the second child, but no one talks about the adjustment for the first child when the second one comes along."

She added what she thinks went through Archie’s head when his sister was born: “So I think they have that moment of, 'Oh, this is fun… oh, this is how it is now'.”

While she was on the show last year, Meghan revealed what she unconventionallydressed her two little ones as for Halloween.

The Duchess of Sussex dressed up Archie as a dinosaur with Lili decked in an adorable skunk outfit.

Meghan told Ellen about Halloween: "We were home and we saw you guys, which was great. But no we wanted to do something fun for the kids.”

"And then the kids were just not into it at all," the royal laughed. "Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes."

"Not even five minutes," Ellen corrected, as Meghan agreed.

"Finally Harry talked him into putting the little head on," Ellen joked, before revealing that baby Lili had been dressed as a skunk.

"It was so cute," the TV host gushed as Meghan cooed over her baby daughter.

"I know like Flower [the character] from Bambi," the mum-of-two beamed.

Also during the chat, Meghan told of the Halloween night out she and the Duke of Sussex had in their early dating days.

"He came to see me in Toronto and our friends and his cousin Eugenie and now her husband Jack they came as well, and the four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple," Meghan explained.
