Meghan Markle shows off baby bump in unseen photo as Netflix trailer is released
Meghan Markle can be seen cradling her baby bump in a never-before-seen photograph included in the trailer for her and Harry’s upcoming Netflix documentary.
The intimate black and white image shows the Duchess of Sussex, 41, standing alone on a shoreline with the sun behind her – while wearing a Panama hat, sunglasses and a see-through, floaty dress that shows off her bump.
It is one of a number of previously unseen photographs that feature in the trailer for the Duke and Duchess’s hotly-anticipated Netflix show that has been simply called Harry & Meghan.
Other pictures shown include ones from their younger days and time as working royals – as well a photo of them with the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate.
The trailer goes on to show a black and white shot of Meghan sitting in a car and crying.
After it is flashed on screen, Harry says: "No-one sees what is happening behind closed doors. I had to do everything I could to protect my family."
The trailer opens with an interviewer asking: “Why did you want to make this documentary?”
Later, Meghan says: "When the stakes are this high, doesn't it make more sense to hear our story from us?"
The minute-long trailer gives an intimate snapshot into Harry and Meghan’s life together.
The first picture shows Harry apparently serenading Meghan with his guitar and a second shows the pair leaning against a car as they smile for the camera.
Several other photos quickly pass by, showing the couple jumping up into the air and sharing sweet kisses in what appears to be their kitchen.
Other images shown include a never before seen photo from their wedding, where the pair appear to be twirling around each other at the reception – along with sweet photo booth images and another of them relaxing with their pet dog.
The long-awaited docuseries is thought to have earned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex $100million (£88m) – and the Royal Family is understood to be braced for any more damaging secrets it might expose.
The show, scheduled to air next Thursday, 8 December, has already made headlines over a number of issues it has faced.
Meghan, 41, and Harry, 38, were said to have wanted to make edits to it after the Queen's death in September, amid concerns that viewers would take a dim view of any “truth bombs” that could come out while the Royal Family was in mourning.
Netflix bosses were also said to be “rattled” following the backlash against season five of royal drama The Crown over its lack of historical accuracy – so had considered delaying the Sussexes documentary.
It has also previously been reported that the couple fell out with the original director of the show – prompting her to leave the project.
