Michelle Keegan to star in Netflix drama as she announces news with poolside bikini pic

Michelle Keegan has excitedly announced her latest acting gig, as she will be starring in a new Netflix thriller based on a book by popular author, Harlan Coben.

The 35 year old star has enjoyed a successful career so far, with roles on ITV's Coronation Street, BBC drama Our Girl, and Sky comedy series Brassic.

To announce her latest role, Michelle took to Instagram to share a selection of snaps, including one where she lounged by a pool in an undisclosed location as she read Fool Me Once, the book that new series is based on.

Michelle looked stunning as she showed off her flat stomach in a cream bikini, with a straw hat was placed on her head to keep the sun out of her eyes for reading. She donned a shell necklace, hoop earrings and showed off her huge diamond engagement ring from husband, Mark Wright.

She captioned the post: "Finally the secrets out!!

"Im over the moon to be joining the cast of FOOL ME ONCE, a @netflixuk thriller based on the book by the extremely talented @harlancoben. Here we gooooo …"

In other snaps posted by the star, her characters name 'Maya' could be seen on the door of her trailer, while in another, Michelle could be seen apparently in character, dressed in a dogtooth jacket and polo neck tip with her dark hair scraped into a low bun.

She also shared what appeared to be best wishes from some of her pals on her first day, including a note that said "don't forget to laugh" with Ferne Cotton's Happy Place branding on it.

The family of Michelle's husband, Mark Wright, were quick to show their support for Michelle, with his mother, Carol Wright, commenting: "Here we go so excited to watch this you little star @michkeegan a super star."

Mark's sisters Jess Wright added: "Can’t wait," whilst youngest sister Natalya wrote: "I am so excited for this!!! Go girl."

Mark's cousin Elliott showed his support too, writing: "Well done can’t wait to watch it x."

Made In Chelsea's Louise Thompson wrote: "Well done," with a number of red love hearts as author Harlan Coben commented: "Here we go!!!"

On her Instagram stories, Michelle posted a video with dramatic music as she sat in a car and held the Fool Me Once book in front of her face, before pulling it down and smiling at the camera.

In the new Netflix gig, Michelle will play Maya, a former Special Ops pilot home from the war, who sees something shocking on her nanny cam whilst at work – her two year old daughter playing with her husband, Joe, who was apparently murdered weeks earlier.
