Miley Cyrus' 'Flowers' Earns Record 17th Week Atop Billboard's Adult Pop Airplay Chart

Miley Cyrus‘ “Flowers” has earned a 17th week atop Billboard‘s Adult Pop Airplay Chart, hitting the top spot on the list dated July 8 to achieve the longest reign for a song by a woman in the chart’s history.

“Flowers,” which featured on Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation album, arrived via Smiley Miley/Columbia Records. The song has now moved past Avril Lavigne‘s “Complicated,” which ruled for 16 weeks beginning in August 2002.

Among all acts, “Flowers” ties for the sixth-longest Adult Pop Airplay leader.

“Flowers” ruled the all-genre, multi-metric Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks. The song has ranked in the chart’s top five over its entire run so far and is placed at No. 4 on the July 8-dated survey.
