Millie Court says ex Liam Reardon ‘asked her permission’ to go on Celebs Go Dating
Millie Court has opened up about her ex Liam Reardon going on Celebs Go Dating and revealed her former Love Island co-star “asked her permission” to go on the E4 reality show.
Millie and Liam won the 2021 series of Love Island and went on to date for a year before splitting in July earlier this year.
Liam, 23, then went on to sign up for the series just a month after their break-up.
And opening up about how she feels about her ex being on the show, Millie confessed that it’s “not nice”.
Speaking in a video to her followers, the 26 year old said: “Everyone’s sort of talking about it, saying did I give him permission, did I know about it, what do I feel about it, and yeah Liam did speak to me and he did kind of ask for my permission.
“I don’t know if permission is the right word, but he just wanted to talk to me about it to see how I felt about it.
"I think he would have been respectful enough if I’d said I really don’t want you to go on it, he probably wouldn’t, but I also didn’t want to hold him back because we weren’t together.”
She continued: “Obviously it’s not very nice to see, someone who I was in a relationship with for a year. But it’s not nice to see it.
"I didn’t want to hold him back so I sucked it up and said go for it. Who wants to see their ex dating someone new?”
Liam recently told OK! that there could be a reunion on the cards for him and Millie in the future and branded her “wife material”.
And responding to Liam’s words, the fashion buyer told us: “Well obviously things happen for a reason. I don't know, like, at the moment I'm happy being me, but never say never.”
But Millie teased that she could have a new romance last week.
During an Instagram Q&A one day before her 26th birthday, one fan asked Millie: “Who are those red roses from? X”
In response, she wrote: “Wouldn’t you all like to know…” with a winking and secret emoji.
After splitting from Liam, Millie moved out of the home they shared and recently moved in with her Love Island bestie Chloe Burrows.
The pair threw a pink-themed Christmas house party at their new pad at the weekend and celebrated with their friends.
Millie told us the pair had set up home together to “support each other” through their splits after Chloe also split from their co-star Toby Aromolaran.
