Offset Denies ‘Fighting’ With His ‘Brother’ Quavo Backstage Over Takeoff Tribute at 2023 Grammys

The husband of Cardi B turns to his social media account to clear the air after it’s reported that he and his ‘brother’ had physical altercation backstage at the awards show.

AceShowbizOffset has broken his silence after it’s rumored that he and Quavo had a physical altercation backstage at the 2023 Grammys over a Takeoff tribute. The husband of Cardi B turned to Twitter to set the record straight.

On Monday, February 6, the “CODE” rapper flat-out denied fighting with Quavo just before his “brother” hit the stage to pay tribute to Takeoff. “What tf look like fighting my brother [y’all] n***as is crazy,” he declared.

Offset denied reports he and Quavo had physical altercation backstage at 2023 Grammys over Takeoff tribute.

Earlier on Monday, TMZ reported that Quavo prevented Offset from joining him on stage during the In Memoriam segment at the Grammys. Apparently, the Recording Academy asked Offset to join Quavo during his performance of “Without You”.

However, the reports alleged that Quavo blocked Offset from appearing on stage. From there, the two were alleged to have gotten into a physical altercation that resulted in the two of them being pulled apart from one another.

“There’s clearly still serious bad blood between Migos rappers Quavo and Offset following the death of Takeoff… and those emotions boiled over backstage at the Grammys into a physical fight,” the reports read. “Sources at the show tell us just before Quavo took the stage to perform his song ‘Without You’ as a tribute to Takeoff during the ‘In Memoriam’ segment of the show, he and Offset got into a physical fight and had to be pulled apart.”

“As for what led to it – we’re told The Grammys had asked Offset to be a part of the tribute, but Quavo refused to let him take part. We’re told Quavo blocked Offset from joining him on stage… leading to the melee,” it added. “Our Offset sources say it was Quavo who started the fight.”

Quavo and his late nephew Takeoff were said to have been extremely close before his tragic death. Takeoff was shot and killed at a bowling alley in Houston on November 1 last year after an altercation broke out over a dice game.

Quavo recently released heartbreaking song “Without You”, on which he bids farewell to Takeoff. Offset, in the meantime, has honored Takeoff at his live performances. Last month, he expressed how much he missed his cousin, begging him to “come back.”
