Olivia Attwood slams Love Island producers: ‘They only ever showed me shouting and screaming!’

Love Island alumni Olivia Attwood has always been known for her bold attitude, no nonsense opinions and brutal honesty.

Since finishing in third place alongside ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes in 2017, Olivia has not shied away from the spotlight, fronting two of her very own ITV2 reality shows and launching a fashion brand.

And now, catching up with OK!, the social media influencer-turned TV presenter reflects on her experience on the show, giving her mixed verdict.

"Someone said to me recently, ‘Oh I bet you had a horrible time on the show because all you did was scream and shout’," she exclusively tells us. "And I know it may have looked that way to viewers – but that really wasn’t the case.

"Producers only ever showed my interesting bits and my arguments – most of which involved me – when in reality, I had a great time."

During her time in the villa, the Guildford-born reality star sparked mixed reactions from viewers. Despite being dubbed a 'hot-head' by half the audience, Olivia gained a huge following of fans who consistently praised her for speaking her mind, even if that often got her into trouble with her fellow Islanders.

"Yes, me and Chris were always at logger-heads," she laughs. "But we also had so many fun experiences together on the show."

Olivia, 31, and Chris, 29 – who fronted the reality series 'Chris and Olivia: Crackin' On' after departing from the villa – decided to part ways just eight months later.

"I don’t look back on my time with him with anything other than fond memories. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Obviously with more and more series’ being made, it’s changing, but with our lot, it was raw emotion and genuine love."

When asked if she has any regrets from her time in the Mallorcan villa, Olivia claims not to, and instead has learnt from her mistakes to make her a better person.

"Sometimes I think that I should regret how much shouting and screaming I did in the villa, but at the same time, I was a young girl," she admits.

"Yes, I was hot-headed and clearly very reactionary, but that’s who I was at the time, so how can I regret that?"

Despite having "mellowed out" with age, Olivia – who is currently front her first ever documentary series 'Getting Filthy Rich' – said her inner fire-cracker will never go away.

"I wouldn’t say I’m a wallflower now, but I’ve definitely matured as I’ve gotten older. Let’s just say my blood pressure is no longer through the roof!"
