And Olivia Colman was once again on fine form on Wednesday night as she dazzled at the premiere of her new film Empire of Light held during the BFI London Film Festival.
The actress, 48, was the epitome of glamour in an embellished black caped gown as she graced the red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre.

Olivia wowed in the stunning gown which featured diamante detailing along the décolletage area and sleeves, while a sweeping black cape hung elegantly at the back.
The film star teamed her dress with pointed silver heels and a simple black clutch bag, adding a further touch of sparkle to her outfit with a selection of silver jewellery.
Olivia’s brunette tresses were swept into a a style up ‘do, while he features were highlighted with a sleek make-up palette, including a striking smoky eye.
She was in high demand on the night as she took time to sign autographs and snap photos with the excited crowd that had gathered at the venue.

The Mail on Sunday revealed in February the Oscar-winner was dating the US screenwriter after they fell for each other on the set of his latest drama, The Staircase.

The couple spent months working on The Staircase, a crime drama written by Maggie as a TV mini-series and based on the 2004 true crime docu-series of the same name.
Their romance comes after Colin splitting from ex-wife Livia Giuggioli in 2019, following 22 years of marriage.
Directed by Sam Mendes, Empire Of Light is a love story ‘set around a beautiful old cinema on the South Coast of England in the 1980s’.

Filming on the project began in early February in Margate, with the seaside town was transported back to the 1980s as builders transformed the area surrounding the Dreamland amusement park.
The project marks the first time that frontman Sam is set to direct a film that he didn’t pen with the assistance of a co-writer.
Sam is produced Empire of Light alongside Pippa Harris through his Neal Street Productions, and he reunited with his longtime cinematographer Roger Deakins on the production.
Speaking of the film, the director said in a statement: I have long been an admirer of Searchlight and the dynamic way they have produced and released some of my favourite theatrical releases of recent years.
‘This project is very close to my heart, and I couldn’t be more delighted that it has found its ideal home.’
Along with Olivia and Michael, Empire Of Light will also star Colin Toby Jones and Crystal Clarke.
Empire Of Light will be released in UK cinemas on January 13, 2023.
