Pink Floyd’s ‘Animals’ Reaches Top 10 On Billboard’s Album Sales Chart After Reissue

Pink Floyd‘s 1977 album Animals has returned to the top 10 on Billboard‘s Top Album Sales Chart following its reissue.

The five-track album was reissued in a new mix on CD, vinyl, Blu-ray, SACD and digital download configurations on September 16.

Animals is ranked at No. 3 with 20,000 copies sold in the U.S. in the week ending September 22, according to Luminate.
Physical sales comprise 19,000 and digital downloads comprise 1,000.

A deluxe box set edition of Animals is scheduled for release on October 7.

Animals, the tenth studio album by Pink Floyd, was originally released in January 1977.

It is a concept album, focusing on the social-political conditions of mid-1970s Britain.

The Top Album Sales chart, dated October 1, is led by BLACKPINK‘s Born Pink, which is followed by NCT 127‘s 2 Baddies at No. 2.

Billboard‘s Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales.
