Prince William Is "Very Angry" at the Sussexes as the Royals Shift to "Genuine Combat Mode"
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, drops tonight at midnight, and Harry’s family continues to be less than thrilled. Royal expert Christopher Andersen chatted about the palace reaction to Us Weekly, saying Prince William is “angry” and that basically everyone is “horrified.”
“I think they’re still holding their breaths and waiting for the other shoe to drop,” Andersen explained, adding that when it comes to the Sussexes and the rest of the royals “the sense of betrayal has shifted over to genuine combat mode, because obviously this is a war between the two.”
Andersen went on to explain that King Charles “has been handed this horrible problem” upon ascending the throne, saying “It’s the kind of thing that the queen would’ve tried to just ignore for as long as she possibly could. But he’s not that kind of person…. Charles has a huge temper, has been unleashed many times behind the scenes. And I’m sure he’s on the verge of having a meltdown.”
Meanwhile, Prince William “also has [a] temper,” and “he tries to hide it, but it doesn’t work. I’m sure he is very, very angry at his brother and cannot understand what he’s doing.”
TBD on what the actual documentary covers, but even the trailers have stirred up drama. In the most recent preview, Prince Harry can be heard saying “There’s a hierarchy of the family. You know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories…It’s a dirty game.”
Meanwhile, royal reporters have taken issue with some of the content used in the trailers—which you can catch up on here:
