Mike Tindall stunned viewers when he revealed he once ripped his trousers at wife Zara Tindall’s 30th birthday, as he recalled the cheeky tale on Monday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The former rugby union player said his wife’s mother, Princess Anne got an eyeful, as he flashed his boxers which read “nibble my nuts”.

The incident occurred after the ITV favourite revealed he performed a “sl*t drop” dance move in front of his mother-in-law.

Fellow I’m A Celebrity contestants Seann Walsh and Babatunde Aleshe howled with laughter as Mike regaled them with anecdotes.

But royal experts since speculated that Anne may be “horrified that Mike is talking about her in such a distasteful and inappropriate way”.

However, they added she may let it go because Mike has a “laddish persona” who “can get away with almost anything”.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: “It is all a bit outrageous, but he has read the national mood and, at a time of economic crisis, has added to life’s jollity.”

He added to Mail Online: “However, no other member of the Royal Family would get away with anything like this and they would be very, very unwise to try.”

Royal expert Angela Levin deemed the move “inappropriate” and said Mike could be given a “b*****king” when he leaves the jungle, adding: “I think she will be very upset that he’s spoken about her in that way.”

The author of the book, Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort, said people should remember Mike is a member of the Royal Family, adding it’s a “real shame” about the topics he has discussed on the ITV show.

She went on to share that Mike may have just forgotten himself and having the cameras around he became more relaxed in his demeanour.

The royal author did scold the jungle campmate, adding: “You don’t talk about any member of your family in that way, especially on television – and especially not mothers-in-law.

“How would your mother-in-law react if she heard you talking about her like that?”

Mike made a hilarious admission when he chatted with his fellow campmates on I’m A Celebrity.

He admitted he had a problem with “exaggerated dancing” at special occasions, saying he often “sl*t drops” and tears his clothing.

Discussing smart attire in camp, he explained: “I love a suit. My problem with suits is I over exaggerate dancing at weddings… I rip a lot of suits, trousers and stuff.”

Comedian Seann Walsh laughed: ‘Course you do.’

Mike continued: “The old sl*t drop gets me every time. I went to a wedding, ripped a suit, they were like, ‘Oh my God, what are you going to do?’ I was like, ‘Don’t worry I’ve got a spare.’

“They were like, ‘Who brings a spare suit?’ Someone who rips a lot of trousers brings a spare suit.'”

In the Bush Telegraph, Seann said: “Mike sl*t dropped in front of Princess Anne and that is not the end of the story… that’s already, what are you thinking?

Mike, who shares children Mia, eight, Lena, four, and Lucas, one, with Zara, continued: “Ripped my trousers, straight in front of her. It happened to be that my boxers that I had on at that time said ‘nibble my nuts’.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight on ITV at 9pm.
