Queen Elizabeths Children and Grandchildren Rushing to Her Side Amid Health Concerns
The British Royal Family members are rushing to Balmoral, Scotland to visit the 96-year-old monarch after she has been placed under medical supervision.
AceShowbiz –Queen Elizabeth‘s immediate family are travelling to Balmoral. It’s been confirmed all of her children, as well as grandsons Princes William and Harry, are either with her or on their way to Scotland after the 96-year-old monarch was revealed on Thursday (08.09.22) to be under medical surpervision after doctors became “concerned” for her health.
The heir to the throne, the Prince of Wales, is already at Balmoral at the time of writing, having travelled by helicopter, as his sister, Princess Anne, who was already in Scotland for official engagements. The queen’s youngest sons, Princes Andrew and Edward, are flying to Scotland, as is the Duke of Cambridge and Edward’s wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
While Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, stepped back from royal life two years ago, they are currently in the UK for a number of engagements, and their spokesperson has confirmed they will be travelling to Balmoral.
The Duke of Sussex had been due to speak at the WellChild Awards in London on Thursday (08.09.22) evening before they returned to their children, Archie, three, and 15-month-old Lilibet, in California.
William’s wife, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is staying at their home in Windsor because it is the first week back at a new school for their three children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and four-year-old Prince Louis.
Charles’ wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is also at Balmoral and her spokesperson said it is “looking more likely” that her planned engagement to open a new visitor centre for the Great Tapestry of Scotland in Galashiels, in the Scottish Borders, on Friday (09.09.22) will be cancelled.
Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday (08.09.22) doctors were “concerned” about the queen. Officials said in a statement, “Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”
