Richard Madeley reveals wife Judy is sleeping in a separate room in GMB admission
Richard Madeley reveals wife Judy Finnigan is sleeping in a separate room – in an admission that he made on Good Morning Britain.
The 66 year old was presenting the ITV breakfast show when he made the admission to his co-host Charlotte Hawkins.
He explained that the reason that Judy, 74, had moved out of their bedroom was due to a rogue mouse that had let itself into the house.
Richard said: "I was saying earlier that Judy is now sleeping in the spare room because we have got this mouse in the bedroom now.
"It comes out from the bed at about 11pm every night on the dot, virtually to the second.
"I've set traps and I have put boxes out and a lot of people are saying peanut butter. "But I have tried peanut butter and it stinks."
Charlotte then gave him a solution to his problems as she said that he should call Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the speaker of the House of Commons, who got his cat to rid Downing Street of mice.
She said: "He's brought his cat, Attlee, down to do this. The speaker said Attlee has been going around to check there were not any mice around, and there were absolutely none.
"So you need to have a word with Sir Lindsay Hoyle and say can you borrow Attlee for the day."
Richard and Judy, who are some of the UK's best-known TV presenters, are now grandparents to their daughter Chloe Madeley's baby daughter, Bodhi, who was born in August 2022.
They were recently branded the "best grandparents ever" after Chloe shared some snaps from a lunch out together.
After Chloe, 35, shared some snaps of her family on Instagram, she penned: “The view dreams are made of. Pure love in front of me! *Please note that the cutlery remained out of reach throughout lunch.”
Her fans rushed to comment on the post, as they praised the tight family bond between them.
“This makes my heart burst with joy,” wrote actress Emily Atack, to which Chloe responded to with: “Family merging incoming. God i can already predict the outcome of this.”
“This makes me melt – I've always wished your parents were my mum & dad from watching them as a child on This Morning,” one fan wrote.
Another said: “Having a new grandchild must be one of the biggest feelings in the world.”
Someone else added: “Gorgeous pic! Let’s see how long it takes you to realise they let Bodhi get away with a lot more than you used to.”
