Rob Lowe calls wife Sheryl Berkoff ‘a wonderfully unique woman’ on their 32nd wedding anniversary: ‘I am so grateful’
Rob Lowe paid tribute to his wife Sheryl Berkoff on their 32nd wedding anniversary with a sweet post on his Instagram page over the weekend.
‘Today marks 32 years married to this beautiful, inspiring, nurturing, strong, industrious, sexy, and wonderfully unique woman,’ the actor, 59, gushed, alongside a lovely outdoor photo his ladylove.
‘I am SO grateful for the day she said she’d join me on our amazing life journey together. Happy Anniversary, Baby!!’ he continued.
The St. Elmo’s Fire star first met Berkoff, a make-up artist, on a blind date back in 1983, and then would meet up again years later when they worked together on the psychological thriller film Bad Influence, which began production in July 1989.
As the sparks began to fly between the pair Lowe and Berkoff ended up getting married on July 22, 1991.

Within two years of tying-the-knot, the couple welcomed their first child together, son Matthew Lowe, now 30, who arrived in 1993.
It would be just two more years when their family expanded again with the birth of their second son, John, 28, in 1995.
The former member of the so-called Brat Pack has never been shy in showering his wife with compliments on his social media platforms
Just last month, Lowe shared honored his wife on her 62nd birthday by sharing a gorgeous photo of Berkoff taken on a tropical beach.
‘Happy Birthday to the most irresistible woman I’ve ever known. Spirit, mind, heart, body, she is the true package. Love you, Love Bug!’ he shared in the caption.
And in May, Lowe wished her a happy Mother’s Day, and proceeded to call her ‘the greatest one I know’, alongside a photo of the couple snuggling up together.
‘Thank you for supporting us Lowe boys through all of life’s chapters,’ he began, adding, ‘Thank you, Sheryl, for giving me my precious sons. And thank you for being SO good at being a partner and mom. Love you so much. Xoxo.’

‘[Marriage] is hard anywhere, it is not just Hollywood – it’s everywhere,’ the Charlottesville, Virginia native told Bruce Bozzi, host of the iHeartPodcast Table For Two With Bruce Bozzi.
Lowe went on to disclose how he thinks romantic relationships need a close friendship at their core.
‘Sheryl was and is my best friend,’ he continued, as reported by People. ‘So if you marry for anything other than the fact that is your best friend, you’re at a disadvantage from the jump, because that will sustain when the other stuff ebbs and flows.’
The father of two also believe forgiveness is a key element to a relationship being able to move forward and endure over the years.
‘People say marriage takes work. I’m not sure if it takes work, but what it does take is forgiveness, and being really cognizant of what hill you’re willing to die on,’ he shared.
