Rod Stewart attended his brother Bob’s funeral in London on Friday, following his death in November aged 88. 

The heart broken singer, 77, shared a snap of the order of service with a beaming picture of his late sibling to Instagram.

Sir Rod said he had lost ‘two of his best mates’ in a few months after elder brother Don also died aged 94 just weeks earlier.

He wrote: I said Farewell to my Brother Bob today, with his coffin draped in a Rangers flag (life long Glasgow Rangers fan). 

‘We loved our game days up in Scotland together. Now he joins Brother Don, rest in peace boys. Two of my best mates gone within just a few months’.

Rod, who also has two sisters named Peggy and Mary, did not give a cause of death for his brother’s passing.

The rocker confirmed the sad news via Instagram November 30, describing his late siblings as ‘irreplaceable buddies’.

Rod said he has ‘lost two of my best mates in the space of two months’ as Bob ‘joins Don on the great football pitch in the sky’.

He wrote in tribute: ‘It’s with great sadness that I announce the loss of my brother Bob last night, who joins my brother Don on the great football pitch in the sky.

‘I’ve lost two of my best mates in the space of two months. RIP Don and Bob ‘irreplaceable buddies’ Sir Rod Stewart’. 

Rod was inundated with condolences from his followers, with Piers Morgan writing: ‘How sad… deepest condolences to you all. RIP Bob.’

It comes after the musician revealed in September that his brother Don died aged 94, just 48 hours before the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Rod wrote: ‘It has been a devastating 48 hours. We lost my brother Don on Tuesday at 94 and today we have all lost Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at 96’

‘The Queen has been an unwavering presence throughout my life and a great unifier. A shining star that will never fade in our hearts and souls.’ 

Rod sent his well wishes to the Royal Family and also spoke of what an honour it was to perform at the Queen’s platinum jubilee in June.

‘What a privilege it was to perform for her. My deepest sympathies to the Royal Family. God save the King.’ 

Rod was indunated with condolences from his fans, with one writing: ‘I’m so so sorry to hear about your brother I can only imagine how heartbreaking that is. 

‘And she was an amazing Queen my heart goes to all of England and her family too’. 

Another said: ‘So sorry to hear of the loss of your dear brother Don Sir Rod…. The Queen will be sorely missed. In your words A shinning star that will never fade in our hearts and souls.’ 

One fan added: ‘So sorry for your loss,’ while another added: ‘Thinking of you and your family’.
