Samuel L. Jackson Claims He Was on Drugs When Proposing to His Wife

When appearing on “The Jennifer Hudson Show”, the 74-year-old first shared his version of the story. “I came home one day, and she already had these invitations printed up, and she gave me a stack and said, “Be here,’ ” he recounted.

AceShowbiz –Samuel L. Jackson has gotten candid about how he proposed to his wife LaTanya Richardson. The “Django Unchained” actor, who has been married to LaTanya for more than 40 years, revealed that he was on drugs when popping the big question.

When appearing on “The Jennifer Hudson Show”, the 74-year-old first shared his version of the story. “I came home one day, and she already had these invitations printed up, and she gave me a stack and said, “Be here,’ ” he recounted.

Turns out it was not what happened according to LaTanya. Samuel recalled his wife telling him that he “actually had to go and talk to her grandfather ’cause he told her he wanted to walk her down the aisle before he died and her living in sin with this man.” He added, “So I went and asked him for her hand.”

“And that’s probably what happened, ’cause I was on drugs,” the “Captain Marvel” star further elaborated. “I don’t know what the hell was going on in my life at the time.”
