‘Chris McCausland trying to find the real Chris Eubank but being met by defence after defence.. Brave’ one more wrote.

Fans were horrofied by the boxer’s strange outbursts and made their feelings clear: ‘I’ve never been a fan of Chris Eubank and certainly not now. He’s so patronising’.

‘Chris Eubank should stop talking. He’s even hated now by a new generation’ another said.

During the episode McCausland took Eubank to one side saying:  ‘I would like you to stop telling people how to behave and not be themselves, this is people being themselves… you trample on their spontaneity and they need to be themselves.’

With former Love Island contestant Chloe Burrows – who Eubank managed to alienate within minutes of meeting – listening in, the boxer appears to lose his temper after claiming the group frequently behave like ‘children.’

‘There’s a great saying,’ he warns the comic. ‘It goes as follows; less said, easier to mend. I don’t want to have to mend the things I say to you, so don’t test me.’

Having unsettled everyone with his comments, the fired-up former boxer tells the group: ‘Be yourselves, but be a bigger superstar than me! That’s your target!’

The outburst prompts another appalled grimace from Burrows, while McCausland struggles to contain his amusement, having evidently rattled Eubank.

‘I don’t mind telling him,’ he later admits to camera. ‘I mean, he’s not going to knock me out is he? I’m the only one helping him get around – he’d be f***ed without me!’

The boxer also broke down in tears over the death of his son Sebastian during an emotional moment on the next episode of the new reality show.

Sebastian, the third eldest of Chris’s five children, tragically died from a heart attack caused by an undiagnosed heart condition while swimming just a week short of his 30th birthday in 2021.

Unimpressed: Viewers were left unimpressed by the boxer’s behaviour

During last night’s episode of the Channel 4 programme, McCausland asked Chris, 56,  about the loss and whether it had been recent.

The boxer replied: ‘It’s always going to be recent.’

Becoming emotional, he added: ‘He was everything. He was me. Poet, philosopher, lover, protector, a man of love. He was me.

‘Things he did, he was magnificent. My son was, is, an inspiration and will always be an inspiration.’

Speaking to the camera, Chris said: ‘Your son…. they never leave you, ever. They are always with you. Always.

Hitting out: ‘There’s a great saying,’ Eubank warns the comic. ‘It goes as follows; less said, easier to mend. I don’t want to have to mend the things I say to you, so don’t test me’

Seeing the funny side: McCausland struggles to contain his amusement, having evidently rattled Eubank

‘My son Sebastian is much more than I could ever explain to you.

‘The tragedy of losing a son who’s 29, imagine crying that hard, and then months later being grateful that you cried that hard for your son. It wasn’t one tear, it was an ocean.’

At the time of Sebastian’s death in 2021, Chris penned a heartfelt tribute on social media, telling his fans: ‘Never did I ever imagine I would write these words or experience the feeling I now have at the loss of my son.

‘My family and I are devastated to hear of the death of Sebastian just days before his 30th birthday.

‘Sebastian grew up in Hove in England, but in the last few years made his life in Dubai where he had a wide circle of friends and was a leader in the adoption of a healthy lifestyle and of alternative therapies.

‘As well as being a personal trainer and boxer, Sebastian was also a deep thinker who liked to challenge accepted wisdom.

Let’s talk: During last night’s episode of Scared Of The Dark, McCausland asked Eubank about his loss and whether it was recent. The boxer replied: ‘It’s always going to be recent.’

‘He was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be forever in the thoughts of friends and family.’

Sebastian was also a boxer and lived with his wife Salma Abdelati, 42, and son Raheem, who was born 32 days before his father’s death, in the United Arab Emirates.

Salma said she hoped Raheem, now two, becomes a heart surgeon in memory of his father who went by the name of the Alka Lion and fought in two professional fights, winning both.

Following his son’s death, Chris told Good Morning Britain : ‘I can’t tell you how proud I am of this man. He was my son and I loved him.

‘Every moment we spent together was my favourite but there were so, so many moments I missed when we weren’t together.’

Salma said she wanted her son to become a surgeon, adding: ‘If he picks up athletics as a side gig I wouldn’t mind. For me, he’s got to have a profession that helps people.’

The 42-year-old, who lost her father shortly after her husband, added: ‘Seb was so proud of his dad and felt very close to him. It was a deep and spiritual relationship. I see many similarities between them.’

Salma, who is originally from Sudan but grew up in Britain, said it was comforting to hear boxing legend Chris tells her son, ‘You are amazing’ – and she believed Sebastian, whom she described as ‘pure’, ‘would want me to be happy and move on’.
