Shakira and Lewis Hamilton’s ‘romance’ has ‘dented’ Tom Cruise’s ego

Tom Cruise accepts MTV award for ‘Top Gun’ while flying jet

Tom Cruise, 60, Lewis Hamilton, 38, and Shakira, 46, have become an unlikely trio splattered across global headlines as the 2023 F1 Championship continues.

Although initial rumours focused on the Top Gun star and newly-single singer seemingly flirting at the Miami Grand Prix in May, romance chatter changed focus as fans insist sparks are flying between Shakira and the Mercedes driver.

A source told RadarOnline according to The Mirror that the shift has been devastating for Tom after his first encounter with the Waka Waka singer reportedly had “incredible chemistry”.

The source said that the new rumours around Shakira and Lewis are “a huge dent to Tom’s ego” and “stung all the more because he considers Lewis a buddy”.

When Tom and Shakira first sparked public interest in May, the actor reportedly told friends “they’d be dating in no time” and that he was “extremely interested in pursuing” the singer.

The mum-of-two, who split from her longtime partner Gerard Pique last year, reportedly entertained Tom’s flirting at the Miami Grand Prix but “politely” told his team that she wasn’t interested.

Days after their initial meeting, a source slammed the “hilarous” claims of a romance between Shakira and Tom, telling Us Weekly that she is “focused on her career and kids for now” but had “enjoyed his company” at the race.

Now, Shakira and Lewis are continuing to fuel the online rumours as the singer has seemingly followed him across the Grand Prix circuits.

Most recently the pair were spotted at the Spanish Grand Prix, partying with football stars Kylian Mbappe and Neymar as well as celebrating Lewis’ second place finish at a star-studded dinner.

Lewis set Twitter ablaze as he spoke at a fan event in Barcelona alongside his Mercedes teammate George Russell, who is dating Spanish businesswoman Carmen Mundt.

The 38-year-old exclaimed: “I need to find myself a Latina”, which sparked an audible gasp from the audience as well as a few raucous cheers.

George seemingly agreed, adding: “You’ve been single for far too long now, we need to find you someone.”

Viewers on Twitter simply responded by plastering Lewis’ comment across countless images of Shakira.
