Shakira ‘worked out Gerard Piqué was cheating after finding jam in fridge’

Shakira reportedly found out about Gerard Piqué allegedly cheating on her after finding an empty jar of jam in the fridge.

The Waka Waka hitmaker, 45, split from footballer Gerard, 33, in June 2022, but the pair have since been embroiled in a bitter feud, which is thought to be as a result of his romance with 23 year old Clara Chia.

Gerard and the PR student are said to have been dating since last year. However, there has been some speculation as to when their relationship first started as just two months after his split from Shakira, a source told The Sun that he'd been dating Clara "for months".

Since then, Shakira has hinted at him allegedly cheating on her in her new song titled Te Felicito. In the music video, the singer opens the refrigerator, where she finds the song's collaborator Rauw Alejandro's head. The scene has led many fans to believe she found the "truth in the fridge".

Now, The Mirror reports that according to multiple South American news outlets, this was what happened when Shakira returned home from her travels to find a jar of jam completely empty in her fridge, despite Gerard and their kids Milan, nine, and Sasha, seven, not liking the flavour.

ShowNews Today reported that the jam would not have been eaten by Gerard, which led to Shakira believing he had cheated on her.

Last week, the Latin singer released a "diss track" called Shakira Bzrp Music Sessions 53, which has already accumulated over 140million views and over 7.9million likes on YouTube.

Translated from Spanish, she sings: "I'm worth two 22's. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio," – appearing to address Gerard's romance with Clara.

Elsewhere, she sings: "You left my mother-in-law as my neighbour, with the press at the door and the debt in the Treasury…"

This line comes after numerous reports that Shakira has placed a life-sized doll of a witch on her balcony of her Spanish home, which looks over her ex mother-in-law's house.

It's also been claimed that she's been blasting her new song on full volume for Gerard's mother Montserrat Bernabéu to hear.

Since the song's release, Gerard has appeared to hit back in his own way, by reportedly arriving at work in a Renault Twingo car, which retails at from £7,985.

And over the weekend, Gerard revealed that Casio is now sponsoring the Spanish King's League following Shakira's name drop in her track.

OK! has approached both Gerard and Shakira's representatives for comment.
