Sky was forced to apologise on Monday after accidentally broadcasting an expletive-laden episode of Game of Thrones at 7am.
The channel pulled the episode after realising their mistake, 40 minutes into the violent and adult only show which was transmitted on Sky Atlantic.
The episode entitled the Prince of Winterfell, included the words ‘c**t’, ‘f**k’ and ‘s**t’ being repeatedly used.

The unfortunate error left the broadcaster in breach of Ofcom’s code after the Mandatory Daytime PIN protection wasn’t enabled.
According to The Sun Sky said it ‘fully accepts strong content should not be broadcast before the watershed without the necessary mandatory PIN protection’.
They went on to ‘sincerely apologise’ and said that they never intended to offend any viewers.

It blamed the error on an ‘unforeseeable software fault’ caused by a system upgrade.

However following the backlash from his newspaper column he said he is ‘horrified to have caused so much hurt’ and ‘shall be more careful in future’.
Taking to Twitter, Clarkson said: ‘Oh dear. I’ve rather put my foot in it. In a column I wrote about Meghan, I made a clumsy reference to a scene in Game of Thrones and this has gone down badly with a great many people. I’m horrified to have caused so much hurt and I shall be more careful in future.’

Since the column appeared in The Sun on Friday, more than 6,000 people have complained to the press regulator IPSO about it.
And it has prompted a response from Prime Minister Rishi Sunak who today asked what ‘makes somebody so distorted by hate that they end up writing these things?’
The column came a day after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the final part of their Netflix docu-series, Harry & Meghan.
