Stacey Solomon ‘trying not to cry’ in career update after This Morning rumours
Stacey Solomon teases new project from behind-the-scenes
Stacey Solomon, 33, shed further light on her upcoming career move after teasing “one of the most exciting meetings of my life” in May, shortly after Phillip Schofield left This Morning.
The timing of Stacey’s previous Instagram posts about her latest project sparked speculation from plenty of her 5.7 million followers that she and husband Joe Swash could be lined up to replace Phillip and Holly Willoughby, 42, on the ITV daytime show.
However, she has now seemingly set the record straight by giving fans a behind-the-scenes video tour of her home at Pickle Cottage, which had been rearranged for a photoshoot.
The mum-of-five teased the reason behind the shoot without fully giving the game away, but admitted the moment had left her struggling “not to cry” on set.
Alongside one Instagram Story post, Stacey wrote: “Trying not to cry in front of a gazillion people. I can’t say where or what but I’m allowed to show behind the scenes from today and I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to guess the ‘what’.”

The emotional star then posted a photo of some stunning bedding, complete with a shelf decorated in her signature homemade home accessories.
Stacey went on to share she had rearranged her home for the shoot, while showing off an impeccably set dining table.
She captioned the video: “This… [crying emoji] we moved the dining table into the front room to get a shot and I’m fully considering leaving it here [laughing emoji] questioning all of my interior choices.”
After being inundated with messages sharing their excitement about the range she appears to be launching, Stacey posted a few comments with certain words edited out to avoid spilling the big secret.

She wrote: “Oh your messages are EVERYTHING I’m so grateful for you all! I promise as soon as I’m allowed I will tell you who, where, what and everything in between.
“I can’t tell you how my heart was just beaming today and I’m so proud and excited for you guys to see everything. Coming September 2023,” she added across a photo of pumpkin shaped candle holders and pretty white china dining set, complete with gold cutlery.
Prior to Stacey’s update this afternoon, some fans were convinced that her post in May, also teasing important news coming on September 2023, was related to a potential job at This Morning.
She wrote across a photo of a diary page with the special date: “Just had one of the most exciting meetings of my life.

“I can’t even tell you how excited I am to share this with you soon. My dream.”
Social media users then rushed to Twitter to speculate, with one writing: “After all the #ThisMorning madness, I think they should just ask Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon to be presenters! They would be perfect!”
Another said: “Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon would be brill together as hosts.”
Joe’s sister Shana Swash had also exclusively told Express.co.uk that she believed her older brother and sister-in-law would be perfect for the role.
