Strictly star Janette Manrara hints baby son’s arrival is imminent as she shares update

Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara has shared a new update on her pregnancy – hinting that the arrival of her baby son is imminent.

The professional dancer, 39, and her husband Aljaž Skorjanec, 33, revealed they were expecting a child in February. Since announcing the news, the mum-to-be has been keeping fans updated on her pregnancy journey with regular posts on social media.

Now, in a selfie-style video uploaded to her Instagram page, Janette revealed she was packing her bag ready to go to hospital for the birth. Speaking in the clip, she said: "Hi team, excuse my state, but belt is on. Back is ok and another rough night's sleep, but all good.

"Today is hospital bag day. It's time to pack it. Let me show you what I put in there and if you have any other suggestions of what else I can put in here let me know, but I think I've got it covered."

In another video, she added:, "First are foremost, can we just appreciate how nice this bag is? I mean, I love a compartment and it's got loads of them. It's such a nice bag.

"I feel like I need to get used to it because I'm going to be travelling a lot with this bag, I reckon over the next few months, right? It comes with these epic extra packing bits to kind of compartmentalise your stuff."

It Takes Two presenter Janette went on to list the items she was taking to the hospital with her – including eye masks and underwear, toiletries, a portable fan and speakers.

Earlier this month, Janette’s celebrity friends surprised her with a baby shower. The Winnie the Pooh-themed bash was planned by Jeanette's Strictly pro pal Katya Jones, and former Pussycat Dolls star, Ashley Roberts.

Janette looked stunning in snaps posted to Instagram by her pal, Sara Davies, which showed the ladies enjoying the event, which was filled with gold, white and yellow balloons. Also this month, Janette opened up about her birth plan – revealing that she's currently registered to two hospitals just in case the baby comes early.

When she and Aljaž revealed their pregnancy news, they told how they had been struggling to conceive and were starting to consider IVF. But eventually they ended up conceiving naturally.

And during a recent appearance on Lorraine, Janette joked that Aljaž was struggling with pregnancy side effects more than she was. She said: "He's actually been sick more than I have, we really are pregnant together. I’m feeling good, I’ve been so lucky with this pregnancy that it’s been so good, we’ve just been to the doctor and everything is all good."

She added: "The only people we told at first was our family and that was on Christmas Day, we had to.

"I did the Strictly Live Tour, that was tough to keep in because obviously we’re on stage and we’re out all the time, so I wore this big yellow dress to try and keep it in but people were suspicious, they kept asking why I wasn't having a glass of wine."
