Strictly’s Giovanni reveals he wants marriage and children amid Jowita romance rumours
Strictly Come Dancing pro Giovanni Pernice could be looking to settle down after a string of high-profile failed relationships.
The 32 year old Italian choreographer, who took home the prestigious Glitterball trophy with his 2021 celebrity partner Rose Ayling-Ellis, is now rumoured to be dating fellow dancer Jowita Przystal, who herself won the competition just last month.
According to The Daily Mail, during an upcoming episode of BBC One's travel series Anton and Giovanni: Adventures in Sicily, Giovanni tells co-presenter Anton Du Beke that he's keen to find the right woman before having kids.
"My mum asks me questions constantly, 'Giovanni what is the situation?'" he says around a campfire.
"Because every time I date a girl I always tell her and say 'What do you think about this? What do you think about her?' She always asks, 'Is she The One? You know I want a baby before I pass away?'
"Of course I want a family one day. You just have to find the right person first."
Further along, Giovanni adds: "There is a fine line about wanting to be in a relationship and be with somebody because you get lonely."
His previous girlfriends include Love Island's Maura Higgins, Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts, The Only Way is Essex's Jess Wright and Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote.
Giovanni and Polish move-buster Jowita allegedly went public with their romance at Chelsea FC midfielder Jorginho's birthday bash at an Italian eatery in Surrey.
A source informed The Sun: "She and Gio are the worst kept secret, but make a great couple. While they both kept insisting they were single, the pair's chemistry was ridiculous — and they kept getting busted snogging in corridors.
"Crew even saw them kissing in the production office."
Such was their professionalism, though, the pair are said to have kept things quiet so that Jowita could focus on chasing Strictly glory with partner Hamza Yassin.
Back in December, amidst a storm of confetti, 32 year old Hamza said of his and Jowita's eventual victory: "Words can't describe how I feel. I want to thank one person in particular, Jowita, you are an angel disguised as a human being. You're amazing.
"Thank you to everyone out there for voting for us, this is the best thing that's ever happened to me."
The pro herself went on to say: "I think, just so you know, anything is possible.
"He is just the proof, that anything is possible and he came here on this show with no dancing experience – he made it, he worked hard, and he made it. I'm so proud of you and I would love to thank everybody."
