Luba Mushtuk, 33, admitted she was a huge fan of Gordon Ramsay, 56, in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk. On the Pride of Britain red carpet earlier this year, the Strictly Come Dancing star insisted he would be a fantastic addition to their 2023 show.

Asked if she has ever been starstruck during her time on Strictly, Luba admitted: “Well, I have to say that I am a massive fan of Gordon Ramsay.

“When he came to the show last year… I always feel a bit strange to say, ‘Hey, can I have a selfie with you?’

“But this time I stopped and I said, ‘Gordon, I’m very sorry but I will do this. We need to have a picture.’

“And I have a picture with him and I’m very proud of it,” Luba added happily.

“And I really hope that one day he can do the show, because I think he is a perfect contestant for Strictly Come Dancing

Quizzed on whether she is officially endorsing Gordon for Strictly 2023, Luba quipped: “I will put it out there to the universe (which is raining right now).

“I think he should do it! And I really hope one day he’ll do it,” she exclaimed.

Gordon wouldn’t be the first Ramsay to take part in Strictly Come Dancing, as his daughter competed on the show last year.

Tilly Ramsay, 21, was a contestant on the nineteenth series of the popular BBC show, where she was coupled up with Nikita Kuzmin.

The pair ended up placing sixth in the competition behind Dan Walker and his partner Nadiya Bychkova.

EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis went on to win the series with Giovanni Pernice in what was a huge victory for the deaf community.

This year, Hamza Yassin became the latest star to lift the glitterball trophy alongside partner Jowita Przystał.

Following in her dad’s footsteps, Tilly got her start presenting CBBC cooking show Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch alongside her family.

She has since made several TV appearances, including on This Morning, Blue Peter and MasterChef Junior.

In the same year as her stint on Strictly, she also competed on Celebrity Masterchef Australia, where placed as the runner-up behind former AFL footballer Nick Riewoldt.

Tilly’s skill in the kitchen is no wonder, as her dad Gordon is one of the best-known and most influential chefs in the world.

The chef, restauranter and TV personality is famed for his Michelin-starred restaurant group Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, which was founded in 1997.

He joined the world of TV in 1999 when he took part on British miniseries Boiling Point.

Since then he has gone on to front high-profile shows like Hell’s Kitchen, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and the US version of MasterChef.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special airs today at 5.10pm on BBC One.
