Tess Daly, 53, took to Instagram earlier today to show off her outfit as she revealed she did not expect it to be so cold.

The Strictly Come Dancing host saw herself in a predicament this morning as she realised her outfit was nowhere near warm enough for London’s autumnal temperatures.

She shared a selfie as she walked around the capital wearing a flowy mini skirt and a black short-sleeved top, which she accessorised with some maxi glasses and gold jewellery.

Despite adding a large, white shoulder bag to the look, Tess did not anticipate that the temperatures would have dropped overnight.

She admitted in the caption: “Some morning sunshine, a full day of meetings and a complete denial that it is in fact…now autumn. *runs back to car for jacket*”
