Taylor Swift Might Shade Meghan Markle While Turning Down Her Archetypes Podcast Invitation

The Duchess of Sussex allegedly wrote a personal note to the Grammy winner, but the musician didn’t seem to be interested in appearing on the former actress’ now-canceled Spotify podcast.

AceShowbiz -Fans could have gotten a podcast with Taylor Swift. According to a new report, the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker rejected Meghan Markle‘s personal invitation to be her guest on her podcast “Archetypes”, which has now been canceled.

Wall Street Journal claimed that the Duchess of Sussex wrote a personal note to the Grammy winner, but the musician didn’t seem to be interested in appearing on the former’s Spotify podcast. Taylor allegedly didn’t even bother responding herself as the 33-year-old pop star had a representative decline on her behalf, which could be seen as a diss to the royal.

Unfortunately, there’s no chance for Taylor to appear on the podcast even if she changes her mind. Spotify ended its $20 million podcast with Meghan and husband Prince Harry earlier this month. In a joint statement to The Post, they announced that they have “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”

It was reported that the streaming service thought that the Sussexes didn’t produce enough content to receive the full payout of the $20 million deal they agreed to in 2020. After signing the deal, Meghan only delivered 13 hours of programming in two and half years.

Bill Simmons, the sportscaster who is also head of Spotify’s international sports content, slammed the couple by calling them “the f**king grifters.” Meanwhile, a source labeled the Sussexes “lazy” compared to the Obamas, who also had a Spotify contract.

Most recently, a report claimed that the former “Suits” actress faked her interviews for her “Archetypes” podcast. The mom of two allegedly didn’t always conduct the interviews herself. Instead, some of the interviews were done by members of the duchess’ staff with audio of her voice asking the questions added to the clip later.
