Taylor Swift seems to confirm romance with Matty Healy as they leave NY studio

Taylor Swift, 33, appeared to confirm her romance with Matty Healy, 34, on Monday night as the new couple were spotted exiting a recording studio in New York.

The You Belong With Me hitmaker and her new beau were seen leaving the Electric Lady recording studio after a spot of late-night music-making and partying.

Taylor couldn’t contain her smile as she strolled to the car in a very casual look including a black mini-skirt and a purple sweatshirt.

The 1975 frontman Matty followed close behind, placing a protective hand on his girlfriend’s back.

Taylor showed off her tanned legs in her tiny miniskirt and kept her ensemble casual with a pair of tennis shoes.

The new couple were joined by some of Taylor’s close friends for a party in the studio including singer Florence Welch, actress Margaret Qualley and her long-time collaborator, Jack Antonoff.

Kendrick Lamar, Girls actor Christopher Abbott and filmmaker and actor Adam Goldberg were also among the attendees.

Matty and Taylor have been spotted together on several occasions in the last few weeks, with the pair even being spotted “cuddling and kissing”, according to Page Six.

The 1975 frontman has also been pictured enjoying several dates of Taylor’s Eras tour around the country.

Last week, Matty was even seen standing near the Blank Space singer’s father, suggesting the seriousness of their relationship.

A source told The Sun last month of their romance: “It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago but the timings just didn’t work out.

“Taylor and Joe actually split up back in February, so there was absolutely no crossover.”

Taylor and Matty were previously linked in December 2014, when they were both pictured wearing each other on their t-shirts.

However, at the time, Matt denied the rumours, saying that dating the singer would be “emasculating”.

He said: “Yeah. Absolutely. And the reason I mention that is because if I had gone out with Taylor Swift I would’ve been.

“‘F*****g hell! I am NOT being Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.’ You know, ‘F**K. THAT.”

Not long after he said this, the singer made sure to clarify his remarks in a separate post.

The Robbers singer wrote: “Now I may admit to being an idiot on occasion, but I am not a misogynist. This suggestion makes me really sad.

“I was for a very short time immersed in a celebrity world that I found confusing and scary.

“At that time, I had fears of being ‘somebody’s boyfriend’ (remember this is all speculation as we never dated!) before even being recognised for my music or presence as a person in my own right.”
