The Repair Shop’s Jay marries Lisa Zbozen in intimate beachfront ceremony

The Repair Shop star Jay Blades has married his partner Lisa-Marie Zbozen.

The TV presenter, 52, and his bride tied the knot in Barbados in November in the grounds of a beachfront five-bedroom villa.

The pair said “I do” and exchanged vows in an intimate Caribbean ceremony, with Jay calling the day “perfect”.

Fitness trainer Lisa wore a low-cut white gown and held a bouquet of white and yellow flowers. She also opted to go barefoot under her wedding dress.

Jay’s celebrity pals were quick to share their congratulations with the star on social media, with Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock writing: “Oh wow! Congrats Jay,” alongside a series of love heart eye emojis.

Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing professional Luba Mushtuk added: “Congratulations,” alongside a red love heart emoji.

And there were even a few tears shed on the wedding day, with Jay admitting he couldn’t help but get emotional at the pair finally becoming husband and wife.

"I think the thing that was most emotional for me was actually saying the vows,” Jay told Hello magazine as he shared his wedding news.

"It was almost like I had tunnel vision and I could only see Lisa there. And honestly, that's when it really hit me. I was like, ‘We’re really getting married now!’ That’s the only time I really got emotional."

Jay and Lisa announced their engagement in December 2021. The TV star took to Instagram to share the news over the Christmas season and reveal that his Repair Shop co-star Richard Talman, who is a jewellery expert and bespoke jeweller, had made the ring.

"It gives me great pleasure to announce that I got engaged to @lisamariezbozen," wrote the furniture restorer and designer.

"We wanted to share this news with you as we are very happy & hope to bring the same happiness your way. Ring designed by me & made by @rtf."

The caption accompanied a snap of Lisa wearing the beautiful ring and revealed she has a ‘Love’ tattoo on her next finger.

Jay has three children, two sons from previous relationships and a daughter from his first marriage.

It has been a year of milestones for the BBC star. In May he was awarded an MBE by the now King Charles during an investiture at Windsor Castle.

Jay was given the honour for services to craft and in recognition of his work promoting heritage craft and restoration in the UK.

Revealing how his Repair Shop co-stars reacted to the news, Jay shared at the time: “They've all said: ‘Do we have to bow, do we have to curtsy to you?’ and stuff like that.

“I've just said there's one request: as long as they can bring me a biscuit with my cup of tea, that's all I want.”
