This Morning fans can’t believe how different Simon Cowell looks as he reunites with Dermot
Simon Cowell distracted This Morning viewers as he appeared on the show on Wednesday.
The famous judge, 63, reunited with his ex-colleague Dermot O’Leary on the show as he discussed his new partnership with 2012 X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan, as she releases new single Balance.
Fans shared their reactions at seeing Simon on the ITV show, with many commenting on his changed appearance, as one person tweeted: “Errrrmmmmm who is this person pretending to be Simon Cowell??! #ThisMorning".
A second wrote: “Wtf has happened to Simon Cowell?! I can’t process what I’m looking at?! #ThisMorning”.
A third said: "Simon seems like a different bloke, what is happening, does he sound different or is that just me? #ThisMorning."
Other users defended the talent show panellist’s appearance, as one person wrote: “Simon looks handsome doesn’t he”.
Another user hit back at some unkind comments, as they said: “People are being so Cruel about Simon Cowell’s appearance.
“I don’t know why people are so bothered about people changing their appearance – that’s what we call ageing and it’s natural”.
Simon’s appearance was brought into question again last month, as he appeared in a video filmed in promotion of BGT.
Speaking on his new project with Lucy, the judge explained: "I have my own publishing company where I sign writers and about two years ago we met up and I said apart from being a great artist she is a brilliant songwriter, so I said I wanted to publish her songs…”
Lucy said, smiling: “And I said, ‘oh go on then!’”
Simon continued: “Lucy played me this demo called Balance and I always remember where I am when I hear a great song for the first time and it's the best feeling in the world…and I’m obsessed with this song by the way!
"This is something I’m super super passionate about. The song is so relevant to what is going around in the world right now, it’s a great message.”
Conversation soon turned to the X Factor, as Simon was asked if he’d like the show to return.
He said: "People always ask me, are you going to bring back the show. I actually think 100,000 new songs are uploaded every day at the moment."
Speaking on what he would do differently on the show today, Simon replied: "There’s a lot I’ve learnt to be honest with you.
"I think it started to become a bit of a machine. You put a record out that year and you move on, and that’s not the way to do it. And when you throw someone into the limelight, it’s hard, you know?"
He then teased: "So look, to be continued…”
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 & ITVX.
