On Sunday, the NFL legend jokingly admitted he’s still working on being present with his children after retiring from the NFL in a Father’s Day post.

He shared a heartwarming Father’s Day post dedicated to his own dad, Tom Brady Sr., and his three children.

He posted a series of photos of his children to his Instagram, expressing his pride at being their father in addition to paying a touching tribute to his own dad.

Brady also claimed being a dad is ‘the best thing’ in his life and that his kids have taught him to be more present but admitted it was still something he was working on after retiring from the NFL.

‘On this Father’s Day, all I can think of is how grateful I am to have been raised by the world’s best Dad, and to now have three beautiful angels of my own who I have the joy of watching grow up,’ he wrote in the caption.

‘Being a Dad is the best thing in my life. I have learned so much about what it takes from my Dad and to be able to pass that on to Jack, Benny and Vivi means the world to me.

‘They have taught me how to be present (still working on this daily)and cherish every moment (mostly) that we have as a family, because that’s what matters most.

‘Their love for others and constant selflessness makes me so proud to be their dad, and I know those traits come directly from everyone who is part of their life. Thank you Dad, for being you, and thank you to my three amazing kids, for giving me the pleasure of being your Dad.’

During his divorce from Brazilian supermodel Gisele last October, it was reported that she had been unhappy with his decision to un-retire and return to the NFL.

While, the Brazilian beauty dismissed those claims, it does appear the seven-time Super Bowl champion is making an effort to spend more quality time with his children after announcing his decision to retire for a second time in February.

Vivian and Benjamin appeared to have joined their dad on a yacht earlier this month as he participated in a challenge.

In a clip shared by the NFL, Brady attempted to knock one of American YouTuber MrBeast’s drones down into the sea from the deck of the yacht.

Brady could be seen warming up his winning throwing arm before his daughter Vivian jokingly told him, ‘Dad, you’re like going to miss.’

The NFL icon laughed, admitting he probably would but had clearly caught the footballing bug again as he then joked to camera that if he did hit the drone on the first try then ‘maybe I should come out of retirement.’

And of course, Brady did just that. He launched a rocket of a throw out over the sea towards where the drone was hovering, hitting the target bang on allegedly on the first attempt.

Last month, he and his youngest child Vivian were spotted on a cruise in his $6M 77-foot Wajer yacht in Miami.

The retired 6-foot-4 quarterback recently posted a side-by-side shot of himself and his eldest son, Jack, who appears to be only a few inches shorter than his father.

‘Not Yet Kid!!!’ the 45-year-old Brady captioned his Instagram post. ‘I’m still here.’

Jack also appeared to join his football legend dad in a beach game with Brady’s former New England Patriots earlier this year.

Brady’s eldest has followed him into football, although not at the urging of the future Hall of Famer.

As Brady told ESPN’s Outside the Lines last week, he hopes Jack finds happiness away from the game, which naturally comes with some oversized expectations when your father is a seven-time Super Bowl winner.

‘I hope he finds the things in his life that allow him to get up every day to be internally motivated to work hard at something that he loves to do,’ Brady said . ‘I don’t think football. Look, a lot of it I wouldn’t choose for him to do that because there’s too many crazy expectations that people would put on him.

‘Most of them probably very unfair actually. So whatever path he chooses in his life, my son Benny, my daughter Vivi, whatever they choose, I’m there to support them.’
