‘Not everything is meant to be mended. Not all relationships are meant to last a lifetime,’ began Bridget’s quotation, which was attributed to Vienna Pharaon, a marriage and family therapist.
‘Sometimes we have to learn to get comfortable with the gifts that are offered through the ruptures and the endings instead of the stories of repair and reconciliation,’ she concluded.
Bridget noted in her caption that focusing on the end of relationships was more realistic than the ‘happily-ever-after stories’ that could be found in Disney movies.
We’re comfortable with the happily-ever-after stories because…well, Disney. Sometimes that’s reality. But reality also looks like relationships that’s don’t get mended. Endings that don’t have beautiful closure. Ruptures that stay ruptured,’ she wrote.
Words of wisdom: ‘Not everything is meant to be mended. Not all relationships are meant to last a lifetime,’ began Bridget’s quotation. She added in her caption that it is worthwhile to pay attention to relationships that end, rather than focusing on Disney-style tales or reconciliation

The Blue Bloods actress added that a split was also an opportunity to learn and grow.
‘The relationship that doesn’t work out but teaches you something important about yourself. The rupture that doesn’t get mended but shows you something new about a pattern of yours,’ she wrote.
‘There is value in getting comfortable in this space,’ Bridget added, concluding with a question for her followers: ‘What’s something you’ve learned from a disappointing ending or a rupture that never got mended?’
Although the post doesn’t explicitly mention her ex Tom or his marital troubles, the timing was suspicious, as the post trailed reports that he and Gisele are cruising toward divorce.
