Ulrika Jonsson labels Molly Mae ‘pointless’ in cruel attack on pregnant star
UlrikaJonsson has launched an attack on pregnant 23 year old Molly Mae, calling her “pointless”, “unskilled” and “naive”.
The veteran TV star wrote an entire article for The Sun, where she
slammed the former Love Island runner up for being “melodramatic” during her pregnancy.
Molly, who revealed her baby’s gender in a sweet video early last week, had said in a recent Instagram post that she was finding parts of her pregnancy journey tough, and had “cried five times” at one point.
However, Ulrika has claimed the star’s woes are “drama of the highest order.”
She wrote in her comment piece: “As somewhat of a veteran of pregnancies, I admit, it can be a ballache of emotions.
“But to be talking about it as if she’s enduring some form of PTSD is drama of the highest order."
She added: “It could be my age, but I’m at the end of my tether with these modern-day, lightweight slebs and influencers making melodramas from anything from a trip to the shops to their latest haircuts.”
The 55 year old, who has four children – Cameron, 27, Bo, 21, Martha, 17 and Malcolm, 13 – went on: “Becoming pregnant is, after all, one of the most natural things to happen to a woman.
“But, then, I guess if you’re 23, largely inexperienced and an unqualified ‘content creator’ who is also a creative director of a huge fashion firm which, incidentally, amounts to organising canapes for launch parties, becoming pregnant with your long-term boyfriend and having a £6million net worth might just send you over the edge.”
Molly, who has made an entire career from posting about her life on social media, announced she was pregnant on September 25.
The star posted a black and white video of her and Tommy cradling her already blossoming baby bump, and wrote: “I can’t wait for the adventures that we haven’t even dreamed of yet”
She has since kept her 6.7m Instagram followers up to date on the ins and outs of her journey, including the moment the loved-up couple found out they were having a baby girl.
The short video, which amassed almost 1.7m likes, showed the pair popping a large balloon that sprinkled out pink confetti confirming their baby’s sex.
However, Ulrika was left less than impressed, and called the reveal “ghastly” and “tacky.”
Ulrika even went so far as to label the baby an “excellent money-making opportunity,” writing: “They seem like a nice couple, MM and Tommy Fury. I have no doubt this baby is much wanted, longed for even.
“But the cynic in me tells me it also represents an excellent money-making opportunity. How long before the Pretty Little Thing baby range?”
She adds: "I speak not from envy. I’m furiously irked by the pointlessness of someone like MM."
It comes after Molly Mae posted a new YouTube video admitting that while she and Tommy are over the moon to be expecting their first baby, it wasn’t a totally “magical” experience.
“I literally just can’t explain how the shock literally overtook my body for the first month, 100%. I just felt like every single day I was living an outer body experience, my emotions were something I’d never experienced before,” she said.
“I cried maybe five times a day for no reason. Just in tears over everything.
“Also just the shock for Tommy and I. It’s honestly taken up until now to sink in.”
She added: “Every time we talk about it, it feels like we’re talking about a situation that’s not our own because it was a complete shock, I can’t lie.
“To add into the situation we were going through a really tricky time with Tommy and his work and fights happening then not happening and situations being completely out of our control and me trying to emotionally support him while also being in the emotionally hardest period of my entire life.”
However, the PLT creative director concluded that they were “beyond happy” to be starting a family together. “It’s all we’ve ever wanted and literally something we’ve spoken about since we first met.”
